Horrible experience dealing with Eisenhaus.com

On April 1st, I ordered an Eisenmann exhaust for my CLK430 from www.eisenhaus.com, after hearing about them from another MBWorld member. What a mistake that was. It's now May 28th and I still have not received it. That's 3 days short of 2 months and I have not seen my exhaust. I emailed them repeatedly, getting only one response and the guy said I should get it the first week of May, well that's almost a month ago. So then I tried calling them. The first three times I called they told me they would call me back after they looked up my order. Well, I never received any call back. So the fourth time I called (today - 28th) the guy found my order and told me the exhaust was in customs and should ship next week. I'll believe it when I see it. So if what he says is true, that'll be 10 weeks to get my damn exhaust. And I wouldn't be the least bit suprised if it doesn't show up after 10 weeks. Not only that the guy on the phone was rude, with an attitude of how dare I bother him.

Well needless to say, this was a terrible buying experience which hasn't ended yet and if I'm lucky, it might end with me getting my exhaust, but from what i've seen so far, I wouldn't count on it.

If your looking to get an exhaust, buy from a reputable company, not Eisenhaus.com. Don't make the same mistake I did.

So as it stands now, I'm out $648.75 until I either get my exhaust or file a fraud report and get my money back.

Unfortunately, they make a great exhaust for the CLK. You are probably better off dealing with one of their distributors like Evosport. I got my exhaust right away.

i had no problems getting mine from Eisenhaus either, I received the exhaust less than two weeks after I ordered. But yeah, Id be pissed off, and id consider cancelling my order and buying from someone else, not only to make sure you get the exhaust, but also because if they are unresponsive to you and when you do talk to them they are rude, you dont want to give them your money. Good luck though.

I ordered my exhaust for my c-coupe from them. I ordered it the first or second week in january and did not receive it until the first week in april. I called as you did and finally when I called one time they told me it was going through customs. Sure enough I received it the next week. It took an incredibly long time to get but the exhaust was worth it. However I did not trim my bumper enough to make room for the 2x83mm pipes and it melted part of the bumper on my c-coupe- Make sure you trim yours enough, but I think you will be very happy with it when it arrives.

did you order it with the sound pipe?

eisenmann exhausts need to be imported. most of the time, if they are in stock, you will get it in like a matter of 2 weeks. however, if they need to be ordered from the mfr, then it can take a while. sometimes, these things are out of their hands. customs can take a while inspecting shipments.

eisenhaus, from what i hear, is nothing but a top notch company. evosport is just as respectable a company, and i would entrust my car & business to both companies.

if I were you, I'd wait it out a little longer. yes, i know it sucks to have to wait that long for your order, but sometimes, $h1t like that happens.

also, I do agree with you that their communications skills suck! both email & phone conversations are very short, as if they are extremely busy and never have the time of day for their customers.

Thanks for all the responses. I'm going to wait another week or so, since i've already waited 8 weeks. The wait is not the worst part, it's when they tell you it'll arrive and a month later no sign.

I ordered the oval exhaust not the twin tip. Do I need to trim my bumper for the oval too? It's the race version.

I ordered my cup kit from Evosport, and those guys were more than helpful, wish Eisenhaus was the same.

As soon as I get my H&R kit, wheels, sound system, and exhaust installed I'll get some pics up for you guys.

Yup they're slow. I'm ordering a dual race setup for my 740 and they flat out told me the wait to get it could be up to 2 months. At least they were honest . Anyway you'll be happy with their products as they are very well designed and enginereed- its unfortunate that they didn't tell you ahead of time how long your wait would be. Good luck and take some pix!

Tom,

Sorry to hear about your wait. Unfortunately, Eisenmann exhausts, can at times, take incredibly long to get. It does say on their site to be prepared for a 4-6 week wait, but as you have mentioned, you are now past that. I probably could not get it any faster than they do, otherwise I would offer my assistance.

Well my Eisenmann exhaust finally arrived. It took 70 days from Eisenhaus. Sounds good, but looks a little "homemade" for $650.
