CLK 230 Change Clock setting from 24H to 12H???

Hi guys! Newbie here. Finally got my dream car even if it's an oldie. Simple question only...

My unit is a CLK 230 which does not have steering wheel controls but small buttons on the dash: - / + / R

I know how to set the time on the clock but i do not know how to CHANGE THE CLOCK SETTING FROM 24H TO 12H. I'm not used to looking at military time. Kindly help please TIA!

2002 CLK430
On a US spec car, on the left side of the steering wheel, press the folder button until the “settings can be set at standstill” message appears. Now press the up button on the left side of the steering wheel until the 12/24 Hour clock display appears (three times?). Use the + or - button on the right side of the steering wheel to change it.

Needless to say (why do people says that, and then say something, when they just said it was needless ) this cannot be done while the car is moving. Also, you may want to pick up a soft copy of the owners manual.

@marcusf - thanks so much for the response. It is much appreciated. However my CLK 230 is an oldie (maybe the first generation 1998 year model) and I unfortunately do not have steering wheel buttons or control. The manual which is available for download online is for the later models (I think for the CLK 320 2000 and above) hence it refers to the CLK's with steering wheel buttons/control tough luck for me.

@cindyclk - thanks for this. I really appreciate all the altruistic help. But just the same, this I think is for a later model - an E430 which I think is year 2000 and later. hence, it needs steering wheel buttons and controls to do the 24H to 12H change which unfortunately do not have

I have a 99 clk320 as well (no steering wheel buttons) and I have the owner's manual. I checked under the clock settings section (page 76) to see if i could find the answer to your question. However the only thing it discusses is how to change the time. My car is in the shop so I cant check it out to see if the 12/24 selection is hidden in there. So here is the instruction as displayed in the manual.
Adjusting clock
(display illuminated):
Press button m or h briefly. The display flashes to indicate that the clock can be adjusted.
Minute: Press button m briefly.
Minutes: Press and hold button m.
Hour: Press button h briefly.
Hours: Press and hold button h.
Multifunction indicator (page 88)
Warning message selection is
Available in the English, French,
German, Italian, or Spanish
Language.
With the electronic key in steering
lock position 2, simultaneously
press reset buttons for Trip
Odometer (O) and Multifunction
Indicator (R), located in the
presently selected language
appears on the screen.
Press button (O) until the requested
language appears.
Turn the electronic key in steering
lock to position 0.
I added the last section to this as it may have a selection that may change it. I will be picking up my car from the dealer on Friday or Monday and if I can remember I will ask them for you. Hope it helps.....Slobi

@slobodan - I appreciate this - Thanks so much! I will go down to the garage NOW and try this...
