I would greatly appreciate if anyone could describe their recent (1-6 month) experience with the pre-painted side reflectors from Evosport.

Thanks

SMOKED
I had considered them also from EVOSPORT but had heard there was a bit of a wait. I decided to take a chance and smoke out the lights instead. It's cheaper, faster and no wait. I figured that if I didn't like it after it was done I would then place the order. But, luckily I am very happy with it. it turned out great.

Why don't you try that since you have a bit of a wait anyway.

The painted lens situation sucks. They are a pain to do and take forever. We try our best to get them done on commitment, but have had and continue to have issues on these.

Sorry.

Thanks

painted markers
I’ve ordered the painted markers before with Ben@Evosport and it did take a little longer than expected. All in all they we’re worth the wait. Great product and customer service.

Have patience…

Peace..

Hi Brad,

Thanks for the reply. It's just that I've been waiting for about three months now.

I do understand that's it hard to make them and that Evosport is committed to making a quality product.

I think a prominent disclaimer warning customers about potentially long ship time would be appropriate in this case. If it's already there, please accept my apologies.

Best regards,
Robert

Your car looks really cool! How long did your order take? Maybe three month+ is normal?

Thanks

No appology needed, it sucks! We do have a warning, we will make it more prominent.

Thanks

I too waited too long for Evosport's parts. I cancelled and instead, I had a body shop shave smooth and paint the side markers for $20 using factory-rate paint ($140 total including my grille, after sand-blasting it)

Why does it take so long to make these painted side markers?
Brad, can you explain why it is a pain to make these painted markers? It seems like all you have to do is get the factory side makers and have a body shop prep it and then paint it. Is the long wait because of issues with getting the factory side markers, painting it or something else?

I don't see why everyone makes such a big deal out of the sidemarkers taking so long. The easiest solution is to just take them out drop them off at a body shop and have them painted yourself. You can get it done for about half the price and won't have to wait 3 weeks or longer. Better yet, get the euro impact strip.

Clicky
What kind of paint did you use? Did you use clear coat? Could you describe the process a little bit? Sanding? etc....

Thanks
