yup... thats a wicked benz... 2003 S600... and I think the only performance mod was a Renntech chip... also different wheels up front, but not sure if that means anything....

he also has clips of his benz against vipers, mustangs, and others...

Wicked!

Why weren't more people rooting for the S600? I mean, anyone who has the ***** and resources to put together an 11-sec S600 and race it on the track has got my respect.
That thing is faster than a Porsche Turbo....!
I'd like to see Motor Trend and C&D do a write up on that!!

On the racetrack, some people put smaller wheels on the rear to get better takeoff from the start, and sometimes better acceleration.

yeah, i know smaller wheels are usually lighter, but I swore the wheels looked the same size.... and if they are trying to reduce weight, why not use light weight wheels on all 4 corners?

Usually drag racers place lighter, smaller wheels in front and wider, bigger wheels in back (i.e. 17" in front and 18" in back) since the power is going to the back wheels and the car needs a meaty and wider tire in order to optimize the power getting to the ground.
Since the front wheels are for steering only, a smaller wheel with less rolling mass is preferred.

Yep! RENNtech ECU, Big Brakes kit, and some rims.

I'd like to see Motor Trend and C&D do a write up on that!!
Wait for the November issue to come out

i guess that tells you I don't go to the drag strip much... but that makes a lotta sense.

Thanks for the clarification!
