Any recomendations for a new battery?

What's up guys?! Well after 10 years my original battery took a dive and I'm now in the market for a new one. Anyone have any suggestions? Or should I just call the dealer and pick one up from them because I get a discount for working at a body shop who deals with Mercedes? Thanks

OEM is always good but if you're in the market for an aftermarket battery - go Optima. Red is great, Yellow deep cycle is better for audio systems.

I still have my original battery and still tests out very strong after 12 years and 176,000 miles. It has been in extreme cold in Germany for 7 years and 5 years in Texas heat!! It's needless to say but I will be buying OE when this one decides to finally pass on. My .02 cents.......

Thanks guys, Ill be looking into the Optima battery. Heard alotta good about them but depending on the price may just stick to what I know best and lasts and just go with oem. Thanks for helping me make my decision easier

My OEM is still fine in my 99. Florida heat kills batteries as bad as cold does.

Sears has the battery available without order, even in smaller stores. I usually disconnect mine for a few months in the winter, but had a dead battery last year when I forgot to disconnect. They replaced mine for about $6, as it had been replaced before in 2009.

99CLK320,
if you call the MB roadside asstance 800# I believe your local dealer will come to you, replace the battery and reset the radio etc. for just the price of the battery . check the # in our owner's manual.

I got it from the Mercedes dealership I deal with through my shop for $96 and change my cost. Otherwise it lists for alittle over $130. I figured stick with oem because its proved itself that it lasts 10+ years

I wouldnt buy anything except a OEM battery. OEM is much bigger and will last for probably at least another 10 more years.
