Please help me order wheels for my W208

I have been absolutely terrified to order wheels with all the many, many, different off-set combinations and possible fitment issues. Seems like I never had to worry if wheels would fit on my w220 or not, if they were 5x112 that was it, w/ possibly an extra hundred bucks in longer/shorter lug bolts. Anyway, I realize things are different and I accept that. So here are pics of my car and current wheels. As you can see the front sticks out a bit. I don't mind it, but I'm wondering what off-set they might be ( I have no clue), and what I should order with my next set of wheels. Any help deciding between the two, and how do go about getting MB center caps?

From the Back

I've narrowed my choices to either the 18x9.5" Monoblock Brabus replias

Listed here on ebay for about $600/set

Or the 18x9 AMG replica's

Listed
here here
on Amazon for a little less than the former ones.

As I said I'm not overly concerned about tucking or anything like that, I just want them to look and ride normal. I'm hoping to get some Pzero tires as I've found they have a pretty smooth ride compared to what's on there now. (compared to my g/f's w211 w/ 18's)

I feel your pain bro, i've too been there taking ages to decide but if it helps I have the monobock IV's and love the way they look on the CLK giving a sporty look.
I personally would choose staggered fitment as the extra effort is worth every extra look you will get on the street. Its complete, well thought about, purposefull, form over function and with the deep dish on the rear and spacers, when the sun shines you'll know the extra money was worth it. !!

99CLK320,
You should be fine with those and the factory offset of 35mm.

There listed as having a offset of 38 in the listing. Would that be ok as well?

clk 230 w208
chrome or alloy

yea wheels...........it i give it any more thought.......i think I'm going to go chrome. I'm with you trudawg on the AMG style these ones look good, but I live in a very sunny place and I love that chrome look, that reflection in the sun kicks.

I think the larger wheel at the back is also good look.

hey guys i got my wheels yesterday. 19x 8.5 for the front 19x9.5 rear. the front is sticking out beyond the fender lip a half inch. I see no way how the wheel can go in any either scince there is only 1/2 between the inner part of the rim and an arm in which i think is called a steering knuckle. The rear is just making it. I have no clue what to do now

We really need to make a sticky about having people search on wheels and offsets (not directed at anyone in particular); but if you're going to pay $1k+ you might as well do your research and get it right. I know I've already answered at least 5 threads concerning offsets.

Offset is just as important as wheel width. If you want a moderate look, ET35 all around looks pretty good 8.5F and 9.5R (Brabus VIs are fitted to this spec for the 208 fyi. If you want something more aggressive, you can go down to ET32 and probably a little bit more, but you'll definitely need to triple check fitment and roll and maybe even pull your fenders.

To the guy above me, unless you're willing to do some serious pulling, return them and get wheels with the right offsets.

The offset for the wheels i posted above are listed at 38, and I have not gotten any indication whether that would work or not.

I've suggested a sticky on a couple occasions.
In the w209 board they have s sticky for a thread where everyone post's their current wheels along with the size(s) and off-set. That would be a start, and fun to look at.

Honestly, I've given up. Unless I come across a set of wheels a current w208/209 owner is selling then I'm not making a move unless it's a local purchase.

The Brabus or the 211 reps? I'm guessing the 211 reps are ET38.

Those won't work unless you put a spacer on, other wise you may rub on the inside of the fender liner and the wheel will look sunken in.

Just get Mono IIs, Brabus, 208 AMG 2pc or custom wheels. I'm on ET32F and ET35R 8.5 9.5 -- front is very flush and the rear is more conservative.

what im not understanding is this. on a 8.5 wheel theres only a half inch that the wheel can go in, and the wheel still sticks out a half inch beyond the fender lip.

I bought my Brabas reps from these guys. Fit perfect, and the staggered fitment 18's looks great... Tires are 235's up front, 265's in the rear...

FRONT WHEEL OFFSET: 35
REAR WHEEL SIZE: 18x9.5
REAR WHEEL OFFSET: 38
BOLT PATTERN: 5-112
HUB SIZE: 66.56

Even with the 38 offset's in the rear, there was no problems?

Nope, no problems. The MB center caps even fit perfect... I would post a pic, but I haven't figured out how to do it from my iPad... Lol!

2002 clk 320 - w208

Hello, I bought this used clk 320 which came with e350 wheels 17in x 8 . The car, vibrates when I go over 30MPH. It came with four 10mm flat spacer. I have balanced the wheels, re pack the wheel bearings still no luck. Can someone help me to pinpoint the problem .
Thank you
