Right mirror when backing up... clicks
Whenever I put the car in reverse the last two days, the right outside mirror will go past the reverse setting and go to the maximum downward and inward position where it will begin to click and sort of ratchet as if trying to get past the maximum setting. It behaves as if the adjustment button is stuck, but the button itself does not seem to have anything wrong with it. Any hints as to what the problem might be?

make sure u check the connection on the side door, could be loose or corroded.
yes yourself.. as far as i remember u have to move it in all directions, up and down and left and rightand diag and hold for 10 seconds.
example: bring it all the way up and once it reaches the max hold it for 10 second then u do down, left and right and diag as well.(same thing)

after you have reset the mirror move the switch on the console to the left. the mirror won't tilt down when you back up. flip the switch to the right when you are parallel parking only.

Might seem obvious, but make sure that the mirror housing is in the proper position. As you probably know, you can fold the entire miorror housing in towards the window. Mine got bumped a just a little towards the "closed" direction once and it began to exhibit the same symptoms as yours (clicking etc.) All I had to do was move the housuing back into the full "open" position and voila! No more problems. But it drove me crazy in the meantime. Good luck.

Thanks guys, I figured it out. I had waxed the car and when I did that I must have touched the mirror just enough to make it out of alignment. I folded the mirror in and out and after doing that twice it worked. I am thinking it's a bit touchy with regards to the positioning of the mirror assembly.
