I just bought a CLK430 and I'm trying to get familiar with some of the terms I'm seeing in the forums.

Forgive me if this question was asked before, but what specifically is in a K3, K4 package? and is this only relevant to a specific year and model of CLKs?


Also, what does Monoblock mean?

k3 and k4 are option packages and monoblocks are a type of rim

K3 Package: wunroof, rear sunshade, and rain sensing windshield wipers.

K4 Package: Xenon headlights, heated light wasgers, heated front seats, and rain sensing windshield wipers again.

and yes, monoblocks is just a style of wheel...

sorry... its heated light washers...

that means, your headlights have a mechanism that sprays heated high pressure water to clean the lens... so the xenon light beam can penetrate and illuminate the road properly

AMG, BRABUS, and Lorinser all have design they called monoblock. Most of the time however on this board when people refer to monoblocks, they are usually talking about the one AMG makes. It's the rims used on W210 E55, W208 CLK55, pre-03 CL55/S55, and the W202 C36/C43.
