anyone wants to get HIDs with me? Right now the guy is charging me $400 for a 6000k HID kit including installation. he told me if i can get another person he will drop it to $360...if i can get even more people...i think it will drop even more! he located in the bay area! heres is his post:
Dear all,
I have several H7 xenon conversion kit in stock ready to sell and be shipped out. $400 will include either free US ground shipping or free onsite installation if you live around the Bay Area of San Francisco. H7 will fit W210(E), W208(CLK), W140(S), W163(ML), W170(SLK), W202(C) and etc.
The manufacturer of this kit is called Polaris of Japan. It is the OEM manufacturer for Infiniti and Acura. The kit is 100% made in Japan and comes with one full year warranty. I hold the US distributing rights for them. What is so special about this product is that the ballasts are WATERPROOF and that it is running on a separate fuse box unit along with the kit. Therefore, dummy light on dash will not be triggered, and you don't have to go to dealers to do the recoding. I have installed a few for Mercedes and BMW. They are just perfect.

...for another 350USD you can get a complete set of OEM MB eurospec xenon lights...simple swap of lights instead of adding aftermarket xenon bulbs and attaching ballast units to the current halogen lights...

Actually bi-xenons were never made for the 208. Steve was basically quoting you a price for OEM Euro Spec Xenon assemblies which have xenon low beams and are direct replacements for the headlights and have the nicer looking clear lenses instead of the frosted over ones that the halogens have. If you want to upgrade to xenon, I would advise that route because the lights just make the front of the car look nicer, and the assemblies are made for xenon so there's no glare or scattered light output. :0)

It IS half the price, and that's the route I went initially, but I eventually just got the euro xenons because the housing's look different and look much nicer than the Halogen housings. Since I already had the add-on xenon's I just pooped those in my high beams. :0)
