There's no way you're going to get that silver CLK looking as good as your black one, so I'd go for a different car.

65K! Good lord that's a lot of dough for a 2000. Why is it so much? I would kill myself before I spent that kind of money on a 4 year old CLK 230. If you are just looking to throw money away you can send me some via Paypal, then you can come to the states and I'll sell you my 320 for less than half of that.

Hey dronellis, are you in Jakarta right now? $65,000 for a 2000 CLK 200K is way too much. I would say use that money to buy other car.

Samoan_Rodah: The price of car is crazy in Indo. A Honda Accord will cost for over US$40,000. Singapore is even worse, a brand new M3 costs for S$325,000. You do the math. That's why I feel so lucky to have the chance to live in US and drive nice cars with affordable prices.

That would be so awesome.

I can't believe the prices for cars out there. Is it possible to buy it from out of the country and ship them there?

CLK 230 Kompressor
Beat this. I had to fork out 94 US big ones for a 3 year-old '98 230 kompressor in Singapore. Had to save another 2 years to do the Lorinser kit.

I could have bought a 5 year-old XK8 for another 11 big ones, but I think that car is a bit too ostentacious. My Lorinser-kitted CLK somehow seems more subtle.

I think I would look good in the XK8 when I have a head full of grey hair?? But seriously, it is a damn nice car too.

Oh I forgot. I feel that it is more worthwhile to get a clean used car and then spend the money that you would have saved to customise the car. You can definitely get it better looking than a new stock model.
I would get the Boxster, but go with your heart.

Hmm... well, how is income compared to the cost of a car?

If say, the standard min wage is like US$15 /hr, then it would be about the same price in the US... I'm not too familiar with singapore/indo currencies...

I heard they drive on the opp. side of the road and their customs are a b!tch to go through. They are probably just better off with buying the car out there for the astronomical price.

No wonder when you Indonesian's come to the states you go out and buy Lamborghini's and Ferrari's, cause they're like the same price as new CLK 55's in your country!

65k for a 2000 CLK, and it's not even an AMG, that outrageous, for that money you can probably get a brand new CLK55 in the States.
