Confused !!! Should i buy the CLK 430 or the C240
Hello experts out there.... need your help and suggestions...
i am in the market to buy a benz and i am currently confused with the following two options:
1) 2002 CLK 430 convertible. 115k Miles on it. Has the 19" AMG wheels.
- Has the warning symbol saying B service pending for last 20K miles
- Had a damage reported for a small tear in the bumper.
- Cost 8500$
2) 2003 C240 4D Sedan. 94K Miles on it.
- Has the warning symbol saying B service pending for last 34K miles.
- Had a damage reported on front left corner. (But now i dont see even a
scratch there.
- Strange part is the Trunk emblem says "CLK 240
and not C240. Lady owner says she has no Clue of it
![bow](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/bowdown.gif)
- Cost 8000$
Both the vehicles drive good and feels good. No extra vibrations or engine noise. I have checked the CARFAX report for both and both are CLEAN TITLE.
I am really confused, which one to go for

You gave a Coupe Wikipedia definition.. ![rolf](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/rofl.gif)
Coupé
An enclosed car operated from the inside with seats for two or three and sometimes a backward-facing fourth seat.
Convertible coupé
A roadster with a removable coupé roof.

"A removable coupe roof." Right. A removable roof is hardtop coupe like the old SL not a soft top only CLK. Show me how you easily remove the soft top of a W208 Cabriolet. Name any model car with a soft top only that the manufacturer calls a coupe. If a 2 door car has a hardtop whether or not it is removable or is a powered origami folding puzzle, it can be called a coupe. A folding soft top without a hard top is a convertable, period or to be a little more high end since we're talking Mercedes here, a Cabriolet.

SL 400
I never heard of a CLK 240 but I have a CLK 430 and a C240 now. Both are nice cars but it depends on your family situation. If it is just you and your better half, then it's gotta be the CLK. looks, performance, sexy factor, classic style.
If you have children or you are expecting some, you gotta go with the C240. 4 doors, better on gas v6, easy to add back up camera, dvd, bluetooth for saft and or kid distraction on road trips, easier in and out of back seats, classic family style and class for ones that womt do the mini van thing.
We got the c240 while the kids were still growing up, wants mid to late teen years/college it was CLK 430 time. Our kids drive the c240 now.
Best wishes.
