Angry How squeaky are your interiors?

Hello all, I just want to get a sense of just how squeaky the interior of your clks are.

I have a 2000 cab @ 47k and I think i must have let the sun beat on the interior a little too much. Now if I squeeze the door handles or put a little pressure on the center console there would be some squeaking. While the car is going over rough road there would be some squeaking in the rear seating area. Also near the window and rubber trim there would be some amount of squeaking as well.

My other car is a 2000 Honda Accord, and there is absolutely no squeak what so ever. My honda service advisor once told me that for hondas they have a special "Shinjitsu" lubricant. Are there such lubrication for the mercedes? I probably should just use those lubrication on my clk.

I got some seat squeaks in my 2000 clk, but that was about it. I noticed it the first time I ever got in the car, and it never went away.

These cars are nice, but they don't have the build quality of a honda.

The dealer has fixed about 6 different squeeks for me under warranty. The dash above the guages, the roof header (convertable), door panel, passenger seat, center console, and Lord knows where else. The problem seems to be worse when the car in left out in the sun. I have no idea what they use but it works until another place starts making noise.

Glad to hear the dealer would fix it under warranty... making an appointment first thing in the morning. I think I will goto the honda dealer and get that lubricant too.

They've been pretty good about my complaints. It helps if the sqeeks are easily duplicated. I still have an intermittent one that is driving me crazy. My wife can't hear it but "mom" hearing isn't very good at detecting such things anyway. It happens on left turns over bumps and is coming from front of the center console. I suspect a loose wire harness is banging on some panel but it is impossible to reproduce at will.

The dealer will probably fix it (inadvertnantly) the next time something else breaks on the car.

I had a squeak in my 2001 CLK and it so bad that Mercedes replaced the dashboard with a new one under warranty.

W213 '17 E43 ///AMG - W211, W208 no more
i don't hear much of anything from my seats... but then again, some people on the forum has said that the '02 model year didn't have that problem as the problem was corrected/changed at the factory...???

I do however have a squeaking noise coming from the center dash console atop the HVAC module over bumpy roads... but its very minimal

Happy to say that's probably the ONLY thing that hasn't gone wrong with my CLK 430.
