These fourms have just been too dead and its time to start spicing them up. so here are some of my latest modifications. I designed a set of new gauge faces which is a mixture of the C63, SLS and the E63 cluster. I took bits and pieces f all 3 and designed my own and a good friend of mine drew them out on the computer and a printing company is printing them for me as we speak, we did the first set and it was super nice but I made a few changes to them so im having them re-printed. also I took apart the gauge cluster and did a bunch of cutting and modifying and converted them to an actual LED cluster. also relocated the fuel empty warning light to the top center of the fuel gauge to get even light spread on the gauges. I also relocated the ESP warning(triangle) light to the right side on one of the empty spaces in the warning lights section above the steering wheel light to accomidate room for a set of lights to light up the AMG logo in the center of the Speedo. and added a set of lights under the RPM gauge to light up the "5.5-V8" logo. the last step was to take apart the sprint booster and run wires from the sprint boosters LEDs to the gauge cluster and connect them to a dual filament LED that lights up orange on the first step and red on the second step which I named "S" and "S+" to look more oem. the light for the sprint booster is also on the right side warning lights area next to the SRS light because there were two empty spots which now I ren ESP on one and Sprint booster light on the second one. also relocated the spring booster switch to the center consul and used a SLS style switch. and the have it customized to say "////AMG S/S+" which sits on my one piece custom center consul along with my push start button. so the two round pieces on top of the pictures are the inserts for those two switches. Much Much Much more mods coming up. Red seatbelts, C63 steering wheel with custom long F1 style paddle shifters, racing seats, custom C63 black series hood and rear underbody diffuser. along with my new back breaks. and C63 style front bumper. the car is getting painted as we speak with a fresh paint all over and once that's done I will post pictures. next step is kleeman supercharge. just wanted to pump some excitement back into the w208 fourms as lately all we see is questions and problems and nothing new and exciting so hopfully this will get the excitement started. enjoy

JonUFO what do you mean by automatic headlights? Please explain.

 

Headlights turn on automatically when it gets dark, no switch involved. Every other vehicle i have owned since 2000 has this feature, even cheap ones.

 

That is probably the simplest add on possible. All you have to do is purchase a light sensor module. Im sure there universal ones out there as well.

 

I cant wait to see the finished product, been wanting to update my cluster since Ive had the car although this mod is prob out of my league...
