The CLK's should have come with wider wheel wells, especially the newer ones.

From 'Stealin'? Say it ain't so!

Stillen are a bunch of rip off artists they charge about 2-3X what they should charge. Call them up and haggle a price they usually go 40% off if you push them hard enough.

I have the option of doing our next project CLK in the style of the CLK DTM cars. What do you guys think? It will be all hand made and will cost me around $7000.00. It will not look like the Stillen one, it will be exactly the same as the DTM race cars.

Also, it will be done to a convertible.

WOW....

$7,000 for a complete car kit isn't bad at all considering something like a Lorinser kit runs about $5-6,000 easy.... and the Cab version is gonna be real hot...

DO IT... DO IT....

I'm seriously thinking about it. But the only real thing thats pulling me back will be the HUGE wheels that I will have to get!! 19x10 19x12 ????!!!?!?!?

If I get it done, it will be made by my friend who did the handmade kit on the White CLK. I currently have the Brabus kit on and have Lowenharts coming. I will decide b4 xmas if I will do the DTM kit

My only other question is... after a few years down the line, when you choose to sell the car...

I wonder how many people will be interested in getting a DTM kit car... it will definitely be a very very unique car...

good luck and keep us posted with your decision..

19x12 at the very least. I have 19x10 on my standard body CLK. You may even have to go with 19x14.

work will probably get started after the winter weather is done here. We are probably gonna start designing the kit now. We will probably do 2 versions. 1 in full carbon fiber and 1 just normal.
