Kleemann speed sensitive suspension ??
Would the Kleemann suspension lower it the same or less???
Should I only use the shocks and keep the factory springs to avoid any scraping issues??
What can I expect of this type of suspension upgrade??
Will it be a nicer more compliant ride or same as stock ???
sorry for the newbie questions but need to know ASAP

cool stuff for so cheap.
i think for 1000 you should definitly get the suspensions.
since i live in NYC is a mad idea. but i might get the springs.
good luck !
"The KLEEMANN springs are a true progressive rate spring that are CNC wound, shot peened, phosphate treated and powder coated for a great look. The springs will lower your car approx. .7" close to 3/4". combined with our sport dampers, there is no other suspension on the market that will give you a ride that is close to stock, and handling that will make you wish you had a racing harness in your car to stay planted in your seat.
Our sport dampers are a variable valve aperture arrangement. Six aluminum discs rotate on the shock rod, providing a varied degree of resistance depending on how fast the shock is compressed. These are very similar to the Penske IRL shocks. The faster and harder it is compressed, the more is resists.
The shocks and springs have been calibrated to one another for a perfectly tuned ride, and awesome handling. Every shock/spring set is matched for the specific application- be it a small C230 kompressor, or a CLK430. Every vehicle has it's own set of calibrated and matched suspension setups."
I personally am very happy with the upgrade, I was able to maintain the ride comfort and yet obtain a much better handling.
Depending on your spring pads you can lower it just a bit more to achieve approximately 1" if you change out your spring pads to the thinnest size.
Hope that helps you.
This is directly quoted from KLEEMAN:

Benzo, do you have a pic of your car with the Kleemann speed sensitive?
Thanks,

The KLEEMAN combination setup (springs/shocks) lowers your car approximately 3/4 of an inch if you have #3/#4 spring pads for F/R.
hinhin- I will try to take better pics of side this weekend.

H&R Cup kit, gives you a good drop, and handles well, its nuts to pay 2k for a small drop that Kleemann gives you, you can barely tell its dropped. I like in NYC too and this Cup Kit rocks!
I really dont need the drop that much....but I want unreal handling almost M3 like
how much is the kit and how low is the drop...and you dont have any rubbing issues??

Like I said before, the CLK Cup Kit is stated for the 320 only, but it does fit on the 430, as I do have it on my 2000 CLK430 and it fits perfectly, there is only a slighter drop in the front due to the weight of the engine, because the kit is designed for the 320.
For the 320, you get a 1.9" Drop in the front and a 1.6" Drop in the rear. But with my 430, It seems like i got a 2.1" Drop in the front and a 1.8" Drop in the rear due to the V-8 Engine in the front and the audio system in the trunk....
If you want handling like an M3, go for Kleemann, you'll be dishing 2,000 bucks, but hey its your money. But i think the Cup Kit is the best bang for the buck, its cheap, yet effective. Makes the car sit at a lower, more agressive stance.
My Vote - Kleemann solely for handling
- H&R for looks/moderate handling
Its suppose to snow very bad this year and didnt want to risk getting into an accident
I love tight suspensions on my cars because you use it all the time....and it will totally transform your daily drive.
I love cars that inspire confidence...the only car that did that for me is the Porsche 4S and E46 M3.
The clk is great for what it is a luxury cruiser....which is find with me but if this supension will give me best of both worlds than its worth every penny. Than due to the scraping issues with my garage I need springs with less drop than Eibach pro-kit which is 1.2 in all around....so when I heard it drops it only .7 that did it for me
Suspension is quite expensive when your dealing with coilovers which this suspension suppose to be better than. I dont know but Ill let you know soon.
