New purchase advice wanted
Had a great drive with it coming home traveled over 150 miles no problems smooth shifting and runs great.
Now here is my question the dealer offered me a warrant for the engine and transmission for 1 year for $399. with this high mileage on it would I bet better of getting the warranty ?
A lot of the time those "extended warranty" won't cover most of the things that will go wrong anyway. This is your call man. Use your head and welcome to the W208 family.

So here is my question is there a way to ad the feature to the car somehow ?
maybe I am to much of a geek and just used to upgrading my stuff to some extent.
Any input would be welcome.

Thanks for input.
Guess I will upgrade my headlights . Do you know if the original german headlights fit and if they are still made out of glass like they use to be on the older models ?

K3 Power sunroof, rain-sensing wipers, power rear-window sunshade.
K4 Heated front seats, rain-sensing wipers (convertible), Xenon headlights w/washers.
The lenses for the Xenon headlights are glass (e.g. don't dull or scratch like the plastic lenses).

Ok here is a strange question thought my 2 previous clk coupes had a way to lower all the windows at once . Now either I am blind or remembering that wrong but I can't find such an option on this cabriolet , only way it when the car is of and I use the remote.

I included the link because it provides an excellent history of the CLK and showed that the rain sensing wipers came with K3/K4 option packages however, I can see where that could be implied (e.g. including the link last).
It's still remains a mystery as to why MB built some CLKs with with glass, while others with plastic headlight lenses.
I thought that glass lenses were included if an option had xenon headlights, but that doesn't seem to be the case (e.g. My K4 package that included xenon has glass lenses while MagmaRed55 has xenon headlights with plastic lenses).
Additionally, there were only a few option packages offered for the W208 and the K4 package was the only one that included xenon headlights.

Around here, when someone is due for their annual state emissions/safety inspection, the attendant always makes a point of pointing out their discolored/scratched headlight lenses, adding they could repair it now.
Fearing failing the inspection, they almost always say OK and leave $65 poorer.
BTW are there any tail light moods besides smoking them or putting a chrome trim around them ?
