My tail light chipped and more s@#$
When I closed my trunk I noticed that piece of might left outside taillight is chipped. Have now idea WHERE? WHEN? So no I need to replace that part too...
Overall, my 3 month run with my 2001 CLK was pretty bumpy.
On the first week, I cracked my front bumper, lost front lip spoiler
. They my car was in the shop for 3 weeks, MB dealer was fixing all ratteling noises. End up change skin on driver sit. Did terrible job, had to redo another two weeks. (Smyth Europian, Santa Clata). Week after that got a flat. Had only 14K on my stock tired, hoped they will last for at least 5-7K for me, it turnes out that tire was unrepairable, had to replace all of them. Not good, I love the car, but it is just very UNLUCKY car for the money I paid.
I'll give it some more chance...
Can you guys help me where I can find tail light?
Also, I got estimates around $1000+ for fising cracked bumper, including front lip... I know it is very common. Is there anything more permanent?
Thanks
front bumper... if its drivable, then leave it that way... because until you are fully comfortable with driving & parking your new CLK, chances are you may hit something else that will destroy it again....
After you have adjusted your parking/driving style, then report it to the insurance and get a new bumper...
as for the rear lights, check on ebay... they have them every now & then... usually pretty cheap too... around $30 for 1 side...

If you duct tape it until you find one, you might save some money. If you claim it on insurance, you will probably end up paying the same after insurance goes up and pay your deduct... Hope this helps,
