Does Mercedes approve this fluid?

I believe previous owner did Trans service with it, so 25K mi or so. I topped up with a few oz. When I changed radiator. If you're worried about it just order the MB fluid.

The post was confusing because Valvoline uses the name Maxlife for their antifreeze, motor oil, and ATF.
@OP -
MB specifies lists of gear oils that won't cause the transmission to seize here. The 722.6 is about 3/4 of the way down the page, and that doc points you to sheet #236.14. This is 236.14, which says "Valvoline ATF Pro 236.14" will work in a 722.6. I have no idea whether Valvoline Maxlife ATF is the same as Valvoline ATF Pro 236.14. Shell ATF 134 is on the list and that's available through Amazon.

for people wondering if valvoline maxx life ATF fluid is okay to use in their 722.6 automatic tansmission. it does say NAG-1 Mercedes Benz equivalent...
thats meaning it meets the standards for the mercedes 722.6 which calls for NAG-1 automatic transmission type fluid. I have been using it and my car runs good. i put it in 2 150,00 miles and im past 160,000 miles still no problems. i will keep yall posted. but it is great in my opinion...
on another note... has anyone dared to use valvoline max wife transmission fluid in the powersteering i heard it will do the job and is actually better on rather cold mornings like in alaska or canada. ? thoughts?

The only 236.14 MB-Approved Valvoline fluid is "Valvoline ATF Pro 236.14".
"I use it in my car and it runs fine" is not an argument in any way, but it's a statement bound to pop up in 100% of conversations over any type of fluid.

Which kind atf? Or PS, EOil
is that in the transmission your using valve line max life? Mine I guess needed a service so I think that's why it improved so much.. if your car isn't preforming as best I am going to take it out.. or were you talking about the Power steering? I used it in there as an emergency and will be taking that out as well... I used additives that are high quality so that's probably why I felt it be so smooth shifting.. Z-max is what I use for oil case and ATF additive and sometimes fuel tank. (3) separate products by Zmax worth the money in my opinion.

My car has been down for a couple of months for upgrades and mods. It works like a champ. The adaptive strategy built into the TCU/ECU makes decisions based on driving style.
These styles change when something strong pulls up to the red light though. The TCU doesent care just slushes along slow to downshift and fast to upshift always requires resetting on business day.
I am going to try the shell ATF 134 to see if things get better.
Meanwhile Eurocharged is working on a standby TCU right now. 1 change at a time though.
Never believed in additives (no offense), It is a gamble with compatibility on the clutch frictions. Once these wear, the steel frictions are next.
Cheers

I am happy to report that the TCU tune fixed all of my issues,
but I am going to replace the trans fluid with Valvoline Pro or Shell over the next few service intervals. wow thats a run on. LOL
