about $500, deep sounds, 3 different sound levels/performance.
I just installed the "race" muffler and love the sound.

No matter what you do, a 430 will never sound like a 4-banger Honda. Maybe a redneck hot rod, but never a Honda!

i think the brabus exhaust sounds deep and loud when rpms are high. it just has a deep low rumble when at idle.

Brabus or Lorinser

byip25 or someone,
Can you tell me what the price for both Brabus and Lorinser and where to buy it. Kind of want Lorinser to match rims but the price will effect my choice.

Thanks for the help

P.S. Howard thanks for the advice, but I'm looking for M-Benz after market mods

You could try and contact me for a price on those mufflers. I have the Lorinser on my car.

It lists for 1339, I can do it "a bit cheaper".

paying 1300 plus for just a muffler is not worth it to me. you can get one for half that price and the same gains.

Please E_mail or post the price of the Lorinser exhaust. I've read many of your post and trust your judgement.

CLK430JW,

I paid $980 installed & out-the-door for a Brabus exhaust on my E430 at F1 Motorsport in North Hollywood, Ca. (818) 755-9800, speak with the owner "On". I first called Brabus to make sure it wasn't on back order and F1 received the item the next business day.

**** your money away if you want...exhaust doesn't add squat to your horsepower. $500 is all I spent.

Lbenz, the AMG tips are not even close to that big. Just look on any CLK55.

Howard, how does the "racing" version sound on the Mercedes? We've put them on BMWs before, but I didn't think it would sound the same. Most Mercedes guys go with either "sport" or "high".

Lee,
The racing sounds awesome. I relied on John @ Eisenhaus. I was apprehensive at first but glad I got the racing. I think it sounds like the Renntech.

The easiest way to record a sound clip is to use one of those digital cameras that takes little movie clips - but I'm guessing you don't have one of these.

Do you have a laptop? If you do, then you can hook up a microphone to it or use the built in one (most laptops have a built in one). Just click Start, Programs, Accessories, Entertainment, Sound Recorder and click the red button to start recording. When you're done, save it.

I don't think you can upload sound clips to the forum, but email it to me and I'll host it for you somewhere and we can create a link to it.

Thanks, and email me if you need any more clarification on how to do this.

Great pic, I'm just wondering how louder is the Racing Muffler over the High performance one?
Does your CLK sound like a Mustang with Flowmasters?
I'm looking for a dual muffler that does'nt sound to annoying.

thanks,

NDJ

Why would you choose anything else besides Brabus or Lorinser. However, since you have Lorinser rims...please go with a Lorinser exhaust system.

Brabus $1120 shipped.
Lorinser - too low to post - email me for prices.

We sell the Brabus exhaust for the CLK430 everyday for 990 plus shipping (at most 60). The 320 version is even cheaper.
