Pics and 1500 mile report on my newly Kleemannized CLK.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
For those who have speculated on my CLK:
1) The car is done and I've been driving it for over a month. It is ridiculously fast and looks amazing. The interior is killer and I even had the guys throw in a respectable stereo upgrade. I use it once or twice a week, but I drive a 2008 BMW 550i sport as my daily these days. I also drive a CL500, which I hate, and my wife continues to drive an Evosport C32 AMG. I'll post pics when I have a chance to take some. If you live in the Bay area, you can find me balzing up and down 280 on any given day.
2) I'm definitely still around, but just not on forums. I simply haven't had the time, as I am responsible for multiple large businesses.
3) Some of the speculation on the board is very humorous. I didn't die, run out of money, etc. The guys at Evosport and I are on great terms and I am very happy with the finished product.
I'll try to get some pics posted shortly.

Nice seeing you back here. Got any pics of the finished project? Engine bay pics? Dyno? Curious to see it.

Your car is killer from what I hear, hopefully we can see and hear about it some more whenever you get the chance, just make sure you don't leave your CLK fans on here!
One day...one day I shall grow up and be Kleemannized like you!
Hey James. Thanks. A friend of mine told me that people were making some crazy assumptions about the car and me, so I just wanted to come back to say, all is good, including the car.
I have to take some pics, but I haven't quite yet figured out how to use my Canon 30D. I'm actually waiting for a photgrapher friend of mine to take some pics for me. I've been entrenched in audio for the past few years, building crazy systems all over my house and office. I even put together a $50K headphopne setup that made it to the front page of Stereophile.com. I simply lost my interest in car tuning after losing my license and have pretty much written off MBs in favor of the BMW dark side.

No offense, but I can indeed smoke a Z06... only in speed, not handling. That is a reality that has been demonstrated on multiple occasions. Spending a ton of cash has nothing to do with it. I am putting down well over 400 rwhp and have a CLK that is about 250 lbs lighter than a stock CLK.

Thanks for setting the record straight. No problem. Just post pics when you can. $50k headphone? That's some serious gear. Nothing wrong with the dark side. At least you still love cars. lol

If I recall, I was putting down 370 at the wheels with a CLK second to few but Sleestack. So... Add 2 liters, better engine components and higher boost, and I'm fairly confident that 400 is not going to end up being the magic number.

And as for Z06 racing, well Dale (who works here) has a heavily modified Z06 (C5) with all the Pratt and Miller (for those that do not know, that is the factory race car builder) goodies. Well, Richard's car smokes it easily. Also smoked our heavily modified M5 and M6.
Sleestack will expand on this as he desires.
Although the project took far longer then anyone expected, we are proud of the final result and the customer is happy. There is not much more that you can ask for at the end of the day with a project of this scope.
For those that simply have nothing but bad things to say, it is not even wasting the bandwidth. "Haters" will always be that way, and life is far too short to attempt to change that!
Thanks
brad
