Pics and 1500 mile report on my newly Kleemannized CLK.
For the haters saying you can't beat one is dumb, sorry but I've seen plenty of cars beating zo6's and Evo VIII-dude seriously should do a little more research before he starts running his mouth, I'm a girl and I even know these things.
Can't wait to see some more pics and the dyno charts!!!!!

And as for Z06 racing, well Dale (who works here) has a heavily modified Z06 (C5) with all the Pratt and Miller (for those that do not know, that is the factory race car builder) goodies. Well, Richard's car smokes it easily. Also smoked our heavily modified M5 and M6.
Sleestack will expand on this as he desires.
Although the project took far longer then anyone expected, we are proud of the final result and the customer is happy. There is not much more that you can ask for at the end of the day with a project of this scope.
For those that simply have nothing but bad things to say, it is not even wasting the bandwidth. "Haters" will always be that way, and life is far too short to attempt to change that!

. Or maybe make an open post on the Corvette forum. Put some money where your mouth is.. Or post a video of this alleged race. Lets see a little taste if this is for real. Talk is cheap. Bring it.

THAT JUST HAPPENED.

In addition to many other things, we are a pro-level race shop (engineers from Indy Car, drivers and coaches from many pro race series) and we build race cars, drag cars and tuned vehicles all day. I do not need to PROVE anything to a skeptical forum user who has to use foul language to make a point (and especially a point that is attempted to make without having ANY of the facts). The proof is in the pudding, not in internet dyno sheets or in trying to appease internet cognoscenti that just post to hear themselves speak.
How would posting to the corvette forum prove anything? Did you not hear that we have a Z06 in house? LOL.
You want proof - put up a stake. I am sure Richard will be interested. He is a very successful businessman, he likes to make money!

Thanks
brad

Ask somebody with a new 07 Z06 to a challenge. Have somebody who's impartial (like a Magazine) to officiate. Otherwise it looks like your just blowin' smoke.

His money, his right.
So the way I see it, the only here full of
is you.
Welcome to MBWorld! If you had the opportunity of becoming a member prior to January 2007, you would have had the opportunity to read a post from Sleestack (without having to search) involving his car being faster in a straightaway than a Z06. On that note, if you knew how to search for "sleestack and z06," you *may have been able to figure out the following.
PRIOR to the big project, his car was faster than a Z06 in a straight line. I'll even quote and link you, so that you can shut up and Gahtoe-heck out of this post:
"The only car out there that posed a serious challenge was the Z06. It was handling better through the turns, however, we would close some distance on the straights."

Sure, you can make a Evo VIII fast, probably faster. I had plans to make my G35 faster than anything you could mentally grasp, however the fact remains that this car started as an average speed Mercedes CLK430, was upgraded to something that would blow the doors off of 99% cars on the road, and then was upgraded again to something that would make your jaw drop wide open and water tinkle down your leg if you ever saw it drive by. So how much would it cost to make the Evo not look like a tin can inside? (Rhetorical question, I'm not really interested).
Now go cry to your Z06 forums, tele-tubby forums, or any other forum that you have a whopping 35+ posts on about how some guy in a Mercedes claims to be faster than a Z06.
My internet muscles and IQ are both far superior to yours. Have a nice day!

You see, for me, having a highly-modified CLK, driving Sleestack's CLK after his original MKB and Kleemann upgrades, and knowing intimately more details about the project than the general public, I have formed an opinion based on the tangible.
If you won't be satisfied until you personally see Sleestack beat a Z06... buy one, ask for him to find the time to play childish games such as this, and put YOUR pink slip on it as Brad suggested.
-OR-
Ask anyone on the forum who has been around since the beginning, as they know Sleestack is a stand-up guy and has plenty going for him in his life that he doesn't need to go on message forums in order to post useless falsehoods in order to grow his e-peen.
You should call him out as not being an audiophile too. After all, he merely posted pictures of equipment but did not stand in front holding a sign that reads "I am Sleestack and I took these pictures for MBWorld."
In regards to beating a Z06... If we're talking C6 Z06 its possible but I cant really tell unless I see some numbers. C5 Z06 = cake walk for a CLK that modded. Ask me how I know
Sleestack- you built a beautiful car. BBS LMs =

Here's me being a jerk: I ask to see TANGIBLE proof that you are a human being. Post a picture of yourself. If you don't I'm gonna call

If you do not agree, that is YOUR right, but feeling the need to ruin somebody else's thread is just not right. THINK ABOUT THAT!
Thanks
