I am selling my CLK430!!!!
If anyone is interested, my '02 CLK430 Coupe is for sale or lease conversion. It is Brilliant Silver/Charcoal w/K3, K4, COMAND, Multicontour seats, and K2c (Voice-Activated V60 w/CD changer). It only has 17,800 miles and is detailed once a week. It even has the dealer plate in the back as I did not want to install the front license plate bracket! In fact, I just installed the "AMG" lighted door sills 2 days ago and it has the flat MB hood emblem. Please PM me if you are interested and if you want I can e-mail anyone pics!!!

was it you that said in an earlier post that you felt hte reason why the w209 didn't sell well was cuz it looked girly? i could be mistaken but im pretty sure it was. very nice choice in car though, i love my 320, i could not even imagine how nice the 55 is.
out of curiosity, what kind of perks would one get by working at an MB dealership? any special offers when it comes time to buy a car? Also this is such a stupid question, but if you were to buy the competitors car such as an m3, would you be allowed to park it in the employ parking space. like are there rules to that?

The "girly" comment was the reaction that I had received from some clients, not my own personal opinion. I like the muscular look of the W208 much better than the W209. However, when you put AMG on the back, it can change a fella's out look on things! They only thing that needs to be upgraded on the CLK's to make them look more aggressive is the wheels and tires. The MY05 will have standard 18" AMG wheels, so no more of those "wimpy" 17's that look like 15's in the fender wells! When it comes to buying cars as employees, we do get special pricing on certain cars, but all AMG's are off limits. If we want those, we have to place deposits just like anyone else. We do not have to pay MSRP, but still not below invoice. 
As for your question on having a non-Mercedes car, there are no rules that limit what we can and cannot drive. I like to have a 'benz as the number one question I get asked by clients is: "So, what kind of car do you drive?" I believe that it is hard to sell it if you don't drive one yourself, it only builds credibility in yourself.

its about time MB put 18" wheels on CLK55, i always felt the 17's where way too small. Can't wait to see your beast. What color combo have you chosen?And also good sale principles, i have always felt that you must like what you are selling otherwise you wont be able to sell it as well.

I am not sure, but I am assuming that you are inquiring about the Lease Assumption (taking over my lease). I have 12 payments left and about 12k miles left until it is done! If you qualified for MBCC's lease assumption program, my payments are $544 per month including tax.

Yep, the V8 in my car is very nice and quite powerful, but the 5.5 liter is calling my name! I was debating between the 500 Cabriolet & the 55 AMG and the horsepower won! Plus, I love the aluminum trim and the snug AMG seats. 
I also like the shifter buttons as I use my manumatic tranny on a daily basis. Honestly, I have been fighting the urge to get a new car for about 6mos now and with the news of DVD Nav in the '05 W209's, that was the straw that broke the camel's back!

Thanks for the support and I am seriously leaning towards Alabaster White with 2-tone Charcoal/Dk Blue. That is as long as they don't introduce a new color for MY05 that strikes my eye!

I just thought I would let everyone know that my CLK has found a lucky new home. It will be leaving on a truck first thing Friday morning and delivered to its happy new owner on Saturday. It's funny, I cleaned out the glovebox and trunk today and was kind of sad to see it go!! 
To make things even worse, this is the beginning of the grueling wait for my new beast. Which at this point, looks like about 4 to 5 months.....
