I would love to do this but was told that retro-fitting command would cost me upwards of 5,ooo usd through my dealership. (MB of Tampa) I had a CLK55 before w/ command and know I didn't pay more than $1800 as an option- I understand the labor may be intense but not for $5k. Is this total b.s. that I am being fed by the parts dept.? If so, what should this run me? If it isn't more than $2500 I would do it immediately. I considered going aftermarket for the navi but would rather keep it looking as stock as possible inside.

Needless to say, if anyone near Tampa/Miami knows of where I can get this done (right) please let me know. Thanks alot.

Who is this Steve guy?

I looked at the website you posted. He seems to know a lot about Mercedes.

I don't have a CLK, just W201 190E. Would he be able to do stuff for my car?

I'm just in the W208 boards because this is my favorite Mercedes.

Steve thing...

I have emailed this guy several times, and asked several questionsthat I hoped he'd respond to. Others seem to give him lots of props, but I have never heard a word from him. Would like to see if he can help me with a steering wheel, but...Just saying to be careful.

well he's got a US trip coming up so he's likely swamped with emails. He's also had problems with email being deleted, which is hopefully now resolved.

try to be patient getting ahold of him, and if all else fails, post a message for him on the forum - he'll see it

Steve. The man... The legend... The myth? If anyone knows how to get ahold of him or if he reads this, pm me, PLEASE! I would really like to get this knocked out asap. Again I really appreciate everyone's help. (makes things alot easier) If anyone could help me posting shots of my car I would appreciate it. I keep getting a message that they exceed the 1 BYTE and therefore are too large- even when loaded individual. I really am a pretty bright guy, but when it comes to technology I am an absolute moron. ;

I've e-mailed Steve, but no response yet. I guess he's tought to get a hold of. I'll keep waiting to see if he replies.

If he can do a COMAND install in my W201, that'd be so sweet!
