19" x 8.5" lorinsers LM6 on 2002 clk430

hey this is my first post, whats up guys?!? question is... can 235/45/zr19's fit cleanly on the w208. i think i messed up. i wanted to buy pilot sport a/s's and they dont come in the 235/35 size that is recommended. am i fu@k3d?!? i would appreciate any help.

Depending on if you want your car lowered you may be able to cut it although it will be very close. You are talking about a 23.5mm difference in the sidewall between the recommended and the one you got, which can cause major rubbing issues.

You don't want the A/S anyway....

avoid it at all costs. The tire has an inherent right pull problem that shows itself on many cars, especially Benz. You're going to find your self limited in tires in 19" sizes anyway, but avoid the A/S like the plague. There are several discussions around this board about it, check the archives.

If you dont lower it too much, then I think you would be fine. But then, your speedo will be much off though.

thanks guys... i'll get rid of the wheels and get a set of staggered 18"s. Anyone know the ideal fitment for 18"s?

I don't think lm6 has 18" Do you mean to change to other styles? 18x8.5F w/ 225/40-18 & 18x9.5R w/ 255/35-18 is the most common staggered rim & tire set up
