How about Positive MB Storys - Good Reliability-Safety-Performance.
There are many great, positive stories out there about MBZ.
I have a 2002 CLK 430, with NO PROBLEMS. I have had it for 1 year and 2 months and it now has 15,000 miles on it! It runs like a velvet rocket and the quality has been outstanding.
Since I bought it, I put on BRABUS sport springs and AMG Exhaust, with tinted windows and the car looks absolutely stunning.
I was looking for the perfect blend of power, looks, sportiness, all wrapped in a luxurious package and the answer was the CLK 430.
Other than that one incident, the car has been completely reliable and no head aches whatsoever!!! That is one asspect that makes it a little difficult to give up, you never know what the next one will bring, but that is half the fun.

As for problems--2 things:
1. MB owners are probably the pickiest, choiciest, hardest customers in the world to please. Face it, even those who can buy the Ferraris and Lamborghinis, they don't drive it as a regular car as we do with the MBs.
2. Having said that, of course it is how you treat your car, is where MAJOR MAJOR problems begin and end! You significantly reduce the odds of the $8-10K repair happening when you aren't screwing with the original engineering. How many times do you see a perfectly good ricer sitting on the side of the road, steaming and pissing on itself, just because some knucklehead thought he knew what he was doing? Mods are one thing...reengineering is another.
I love my car. My wife loves the car. My neighbors love the car.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
this really does turn heads and is only outdone by the new SL or CL. I love the car but only if it came in stick

But, my car being in the shop was my choice... not that anything was wrong... I just exercised my warranty rights to get things replaced as they were worn or showing signs of wear...
the only major problems I had were:
- broken cat converter
- malfunctioned passenger seat controls (passengers fault for spilling cup of hot coffee all over seats/floor/console/electronics)
My most recent proud moment in owning this car came when I parked my car in front of the building elevator where there is a camera (i'm paranoid of people stealing my license plate)... anyways, after i parked, went up to work, then came back down to get something from my friend's car, and on the way back to the elavator, i saw this hot hot chick slapping her face all over my car, taking a peek at whats inside & out...

I shoulda just gave her the grand tour of the backseat... but, i'm a married man now... must behave...
I love the car , Mercedes in general and my dealer Auto Steigler in Encino, CA. A class act all the way around!!
I don't think I've ever been in a car that has got more looks and head-turns than this one (especially from women), it is a muscly gentlemans car. Its looks turns women on, simple as that.
Two days ago I had this important meeting, and I had trouble finding the office where the meeting would take place. (I have a navi, but didn't have the address) I talked to the (old strict suit manager) guy on the phone and he went outside to show me where to park etc.
First thing this strict older (60y or so) guy said was "Wow! I LOVE your car. What an incredible sound, what is that?!?" Then we spent 15min talking cars, he was a major MB fan himself and probably knew more than I do. The rest of the meeting was a total success and the outcome will probably earn me enough money to get a few more CLK's ;-)
All in all, a good investment!
