I also have one of these timers. My best was done with a full tank of gas and 1 passanger, with a time of 6.3s. Combined wieght of me and passanger is 420lbs, and I had esp turned on, and the road was not that dry :/ I believe with a dry road and only me in the car, I could get under 6s without esp on. My car is stock with K&N filters.

There are many different companies offering different products. I got mine from escort, I just phoned them and in 3 days I had it delivered. I'm very happy with it

1999 M Coupe
Found this in the MB World world specs section:
Coupe: 6.1 sec
Cabriolet: 6.9 sec
----
Found this on another MB board...
Estimated times are:
1/4 Mile: 14.5 - 14.7 sec.
0-60: 5.5 - 5.9 sec.
Dyno Output (from personal experience) 245 hp and 255 Tq.
--
We'll see. A friend of mine just got a new 99, so, maybe I can talk him into going to the dragstrip in Commerce for some runs.

What has been you best run up there? I recall the M Coupe (240hp version) was good for 0-60 times in the area of 5.2 seconds. I always liked the M Coupe

The Commerce track in particular is pretty slow. I think it's over 1000 feet. I've heard you can adjust your time by about .2 compared to a lower lever track.
At Silver Dollar or similar I'd fully expect to do a 14 @ 100mph.
There are 2 types of M Coupes as well. Mine is the S52 motor 240hp/236 ft/lb of torque. Then there is a 315hp/256 ft/lb of torque S54 motor.
The S54 breathes much better up top and revs higher than my engine does.
We'll, see. I'm going to pick-up my friend's CLK430 tommorrow.

At 3300-3400 pounds, the CLK430 is lighter than I thought by about ~250 pounds. Alloy blocks!
The M engines have iron blocks.
I'm excited to see what's it's like.

That's a question I have wanted answered. I have a completely stock CLK 430 and I was able to get mine up to around 140 and slowed back down due to high winds on a bridge I was on. I have been reading on posts that it would cut off at 130, but mine didn't for some reason. It still had plenty of pedal left too. Any suggestions on why it didn't cut off?

Plus, on BMWs anyhow, the cut-off is 137mph and for some reason I think it's close to 150 for faster cars like the M5. I need to check the latter out though.

1999 MERCEDES BENZ CLK430 AMG 2DR 4.3 L V8 RWD (Soon2bAWD) 400 HP 5SPD AUTO 155T./0-60 TRAC. On 3.2s
Tsk Tsk Well that certainly all depends
Depends on if you're speaking of the CLK430 or CLK430 AMG both of which are different. The base 4.3 has 275 HP with 4speed tranny, and is governed to a top speed of 135, 0-60 in about 5.6 secs. Than you have my favorite little 1999-2003 Baby Rabbit. The CLK430 AMG with 400 HP, also 5speed tranny, with a Governed Top Speed of 155, 0-60 in 3.2 secs normally with FULL FUNTION, but mines pushing 3.4 secs right now due to it being in a slight state of Limp Mode. Just gotta change out the 2 nobworking O2 Sensors in the A.M. (Changing all 4 instead though) and than I'll have all 400 Horsies again. YAY!! BTW it's just a governor, you can bypass it so the speed it can go really has no limit but in doing so you risk chipping gear plates, newfound slipping, no shift, etc etc. Basically destroying the Hard to rebuild Auto high intellect the Beautifully designed, engineered, and Built. No longer made anymore, ALMOST INDESTRUCTIBLE, 5speed 275-400 hp Transmission and The Bullet Proof, barely any left, high powered, high performance, High intelligence Engine. Unless you put in Like top of the line High Performance aftermarket parts that can handle the heat, torque, and tension. It just wont allow itself to break anything mechanical. It's all protected. As long as all your senors are good when you start the car up and drive it, if anything isn't right, or a sensor starts acting up the car will stop itself before damage is caused to mechanical parts. Just oil, tires, and brakes ive had to change. Simple sensors are the only parts I've had to replace beside what was previously stated due to maintenance of course every once in a while. All in all Favorite car I've owned. Haven't even owned it all that long but long enough to decide IM INLOVE.
