Cancelling Tele-Aid, need to deactivate the "Malfunction" notice at start-up.

I'm not renewing my TeleAid and the computer screen shows a malfunction everytime I start up my car. Short of going to my dealer (who does not work on weekend!), is there a way I can deactivate that malfunction message? Thanks!

Tesla Model S
I've never gotten a malfunction and my service has lapsed over a year ago.

The malfunction indicator only alerts when you HAVE NEVER activated teliaid. Once you sign up for your free year, even after you cancel, the Malfunction indicator will not happen.

Mine was never activated so I keep getting that annoying Malfunction error. Any way to "fix" this short of enabling Tele-Aid? The dealers should be able to fix this right?

I never activated my 2001 and the service advisor told me there's no way to get rid of the malfunction message. Well, I guess the only way to get rid of the message is to activate my free year. Sounds kinda stupid.

Small print says you need to activate your free year within 3-6 months of delivery. After that they take the free year offer away from you.

Oh that's just great. I'm going to have a fun shouting match with my service advisor next time when I demand that they fix any "malfunction" under the conditions of my warranty. It's going to be a little harder to sell my used CLK 55 someday when the dash prominantly displays "Malfunction."

It is a service similar to GM's Onstar, although as bad as I hate to say it, not nearly as good.
They can give you route assistance from your current location, make reservations for you, make service appointments, diagnose a mechanical problem (so they say) or will send emergency services to you upon either your request or by activation of your airbags.
I have used it several times, but unlike Onstar, you can stay on hold for several minutes, and may get someone who can barely understand your language and be of little or no help.
For example, I was trying to get directions to the Cheetah in Atlanta a couple of weeks ago, and they couldn't find it for me. Imagine that!
I can't recall for sure how much I paid, but I believe it was 2-300.00 per year. Needless to say, I won't be renewing it.
