K-Mac Camber Kit installed!

My car was lowered with H&R springs and the rear camber was waaaay off. I purchased this kit from a member on this forum, had the shop install it and wala! The camber issue is fixed. The inside edges of the tires were getting worn through in about 8k miles, but now it sits straight and my little investment paid off.

Just thought I'd share and let you fellas out there with camber problems know that this kit works just fine.

Thanks for the info, sounds like a good investment. I've heard that the H&R springs make the car feel unstable at high speeds, have you found this to be an issue?

Eh, 'nervous' is a better way to describe it. However I attributed it to the seriuos camber and alignment issues after lowering it. But after the alignemnt (which wasn't done after lowering) and the kit, it feels MUCH more solid at all speeds. There is just someting about all tires wanting to go in the same direction....

It's about $320 for the rear camber kit. I found mine on the classifieds section. However, before you buy it, I would take your car to a competent alignment shop first. They might even be able to do it without the kit.

The rear camber can't be adjusted by much though. But the front can be adjusted by replacing the bolts or something.
How much did it cost you to install the camber?

Thanks

Rear Adjustable camber arms

For those that are not aware, there is a forum member (speedybenz) that sells rear adjustable camber arms for approximately $250. I personally purchased a set from him and would recommend it to anyone who would like to correct negative camber(up to +/-6 degrees). They are of great quality and are easy to install.

They charged me two hours labor....but I'm sure a really competent alignment shop can get it done in 1 hour.

I recently bought the Kmac kit for the front and havent had the time to get it installed, but I am hoping it will work out. I will post my review when I get the kit installed.

Have you checked with the alignment shop to see if they can adjust the camber/toe etc WITHOUT the kit? I am lowered with H&R springs and they were able to do it without.

I looked into it but I am way off. I will say that changing my tire pressure to 35 up front and 34 rear worked well. I am not eating the inner tire as bad. The bolt fix only gives me about .25 worth of fix. I need 1.00 adjustment to give me even tire ware. The kit gives me almost a full 1.75 worth of adjustment. So this should do the trick.

Camber kit

mmgrad- I never inquired about the front since I already had the K-mac kit.

For those who have the front K-mac kit installed, has anyone noticed a squeaking noise when going over speed bumps? I am certain it is the bushings from the K-mac kit, since I did not have this noise prior to the kit installation.
