if you look closely, its your basic large-star grill available at many shops in the states...

the only thing that looks diff in the final picture is that they painted the outer edge to be body colored.

very perceptive, i didn't notice the paint. It's still not the Shatz though, cause there arn't slats above and below the star, so simply generic big star grill?? I didn't know there was three star grills, just the Shatz and the CL hood/grill replacement.

yeah, there is one that is in between the two... just like the Shatz grill, but the star is a little bigger, which eliminates the vertical bar

You mean places sell grills like this with 3 lines running across but chrome around the outside for the W208?? Where can I get one? I thought the only options were CL like Ben or the smaller one they sell over at performanceproducts and other websites

It's not like the Shatz grill as you can see comparing pictures. I think this one is better because is more similar to the original. It's more similar to hood and grill cl tipe.

My shabby attempt based on high school german. Basically just asked what the price would be, and if we could get a better price with multiple orders.

I wrote them in german and in one day I receved the answer. A german friend of mine made the translation for me. Next week I will receive the translation and I will post it in English. The question were something like that:

I sow in your web site the chrom grills and I would like to have more information about your grille CL look with big star for Mercedes CLK class w208, product n. 208 0CL 999.
Does it fit in the hood like the original grill or does it need works to be fixed?
Does it come with the big MB star?
Do you have other picture more detailed of it? And do you have picture of silver clk with thaht grill?
What is the price and how can be purchased?
What material is it made?
Is it chromed the area around the grill or is it made to be painted with the same colour of the car?
I had inserted the picture of your CL grill in the MB clk w 208 world forum https://mbworld.org/forums/showthread.php?t=79493 and a lot people is interested in it.
I will insert in the forum all the details and pictures you will give me.
Thank you

https://mbworld.org/forums/showthread.php?t=79493
