I thought with these results, Maff could show the percentage of unhappy owners when it comes to the quality of paint. Everyone, please answer this. The more people who do, the more important (if important) it will be to MB.

My Brilliant Silver Cabriolet is no longer brilliant in the front... 
I have never seen any paint that chip so easily like the one on my CLK. The 95 C280 I used to have had less paint ships in 5 years than my current CLK in a year.

2002 CLK 55 AMG Coupe ;)
Previous to the 2002 CLK I had a 2001 Corvette.
The quicksilver paint on the Corvette had multiple pitmarks at the snout/front/hood area - after 6,000 miles.
The CLK's brilliant silver paint, after 3,000 miles, has not a single pitmark.
Coincidence? Perhaps.
Bad comparison? Maybe.
CLK has a better aerodynamic design to deflect or suck in oncoming debris? Possibly.
Could paint quality be improved? Always.
Do I need glasses? hmmmm

2001 CLK 320
I noticed flaws in the paint of my 320 the day I brought it home. Slight unevenness of the paint, noticeable at particular light angles. Audi has the best silver I've seen. I think most people who care, find falt with every carmakers paint. Klasse helps.

the black paint on MBs scratch the easiest of any i've seen. The last 5 cars i've owned are black and none of them had as many swirl marks and scratches than the 96 E.

Klasse is a German wax imported to some dealers. It has done absolutely nothing to help my car. Well.... maybe it has, but obviously, there is no way of knowing. If it only helps, I couldn't imagine how bad my car would be without it.
