My local shop said each additional quart over 5 quarts of Mobil 1 synth would cost me $9!!! I am going to take my own as it is half the cost.

So... How many quarts does this motor hold?
What grade of oil are you guys using? 5w40?

I think it is between 8 and 9 quarts. My last invoice from the B service showed 9.

9 quarts - Sheesh I thought my C5's were bad.

My car said it was low, so I called up MBNA, and they informed
me the 430 motor actually holds about 9.3-9.4 quarts. The rep
said to have 9.5 quarts available for an oil change. they also said
to use Mobil 1 0W20 or 0W40

MeNmyCLK430, did I see you on the dulles toll road around 9:00AM acouple days ago? I was in a silver clk, ur car is dropped right?

I do travel the Toll Road daily... there is a good chance that was me. No my car isn't dropped YET.

Newbie here. got my self a topsider and did it myself this weekend.
My 99 430 took 8.5qts of mobile 1 european formula (I think its 0w40)

Mercedes Benz reccomends Mobil 1 Super Syn 0W-40 motor oil for all its engines with FSS.
