It's those high end German engineers that figure out cool ways to conceal things.

yeh, its pretty cheap tho...i was fixing it one day and became aware of just how flimsy and tiny the plastic parts are that hold it together when one snapped off... fortunately it wasnt a really important one so it still works.

Well where is it? I have a CLK cab 320 99

And does your front cup holder come all the way up by itself? Mine gets stuck when it's nearly up and I have to help up it a bit until it opens. Just finished oiling it but it did not help .

The rear cup holders are in the arm rest, for coupe models. I'm not sure if the cab. even has any back there When I press the chrome button, it comes up, and swings out.

Not sure on a '99, but on a '02 the unit pulls out.....stick it in the dishwasher, (just make sure you don't have the dry option on)....mine came out working perfectly!

My cabrio's back seat is leather in the middle "seat" too so I guess there is no holder then. The armrest in the seat is full leather also.

I have to try the dish washer trick on the front cup holder (it does come out by pulling on the 1999 cab) as it is a bit sticky. I tried with hot water and hose and oiling some parts of it but it didn't help. I will post if I get it working.

Just got the car a few days back and it's great!!
