Guys,

Today I was surprised that I have NO Sub woofer fitted at back, which I have compare to another CLK (non BOSE).

Correct me if I'm wrong the total number of speak should be 7 ( 1 is sub woofer).

I have no Sub woofer at the trunk, I checked both left and right and its just a soft pad inside, ANYONE have this experience?

I still disbelieve.

FYI: I got 2004 March production, whereas my fd has 2003 Oct production.

My sedan has a woofer in the back which is kind of surprising for a base model. But NON-BOSE CLK has no rear speaker. I have fitted BOSE to at least 3 CLK and none of them had a rear speaker. The most surprising thing is that after 2004 they stopped shipping them with the holes in the rear foam so if you did get BOSE later on you had to buy the foam with the hole in it too.

Today I have another w209 CLK (2003 production) with non BOSE system, and it has a Sub Woofer at the back (examined by fingering ), I have also checked the brochure clearly stated 7 Speakers.

I still think I should have a Sub woofer because My brothers C class base model has a sub woofer also.

DTM CLK, I have a 2004 CLK with bose system and I do have a sub in the back. I dont know why you dont have one

Hey buddy..

Ya I found out that my car was in the middle of transition to the facelifted model, therefore only 6 speakers in the new facelifted CLK audio system. whereas yours is 7 speakers. If you look at the back of the brochure , Mercedes states any changes of spec will not be updated in the brochure , so even if I sue Mercedes, there is no point.

To install the sub, is a hassle which require taking the floor apart and removal of dash board, and who knows if something will vibrate after I install it. so I just leave as the way it is.

BTW I love the new Aston Martin AMV8... thinking about my next car

1/04 build date, and i have the woofer in the rear glass area, there are 2 humps but one is thumping hard!!

LUCKYYYY youu.... Mine is March 04 production, however I got the nano paint huwahwhahw I guess the money goes to the paint work. check the paint code if it starts with C then its nano
