I was just thinking....we need to get as active as the C class forum. I find myself asking questions about my car and keeping faster and better responses over there LOL.

First you need to get more W209 owners to sign up.

little introduction

Well I have actually been reading the forums CLK forums for a while now but since you have asked for more people to join in to keep the forum alive. I have decided to become active. Well I have a 2004 CLK200 Kompressor and it is stock for now. I am waiting for the warranty to end. Most people here have 350 or 500 but believe me this thing has cost me alot of money. I could have bought a Porsche 911 at the same value in United States. Anyway, I have been driving it for almost 2 years now and I have a good experience with it. Since I dont have any experience about tuning I cannot chat about it but I can help solving mechanical problems and so on.

But do not under estimate a CLK200K in the hands of the right driver it becomes a monster in Autobahn or city. I did waste a BMW 530 with it at top speed and handling. It seems that my car has a little glitch about the speed limiter. I travelled 180 km (112 miles) distance in 44 minutes. The BMW driver though I was crazy and slowed down and accepted the defeat when my speed was over 260 Km/hr (162 mph). Don’t get me wrong, I know I can not defeat these BMW 530 in accelaration or most BMWs but it becomes a whole different story in traffic and autobahn.

In addition to the number of C owners, I believe they are also younger, hence the time they may have to dedicate to the forums.

I would fit under the "younger" category, but I havent been as active until recently. I've read the forums and other referenced materials to learn as much as i can about my clk. My worse problem was i really did not know enough information to help out others. Another thing, though my clk was a gift from my parents, i pay for all of my mods. Trust me, as a student in many organizations and sports, its fairly hard to get a job in certain time slots. Now that i've learned from many of the members experiences i feel i'm able to help. If you look at all of my threads, many of them can be seen as simple requests for info. I know in my area, i had one of the first w209, there were maybe 2 or 3 w208s (which i still love as well as my w209). Now i think maybe theres 4 other new clks. So maybe more owners may pick up or its just a change in my area. (wow... when did this become a masssive paragraph?)
