Few questions for you Gurus about the CLK-500

I have had my CLK-500 fora while now... (had a c32 amg) Looking to add some more power to the car.. I can't find any sites that sell anything?

I do have a budget so what would be the best to add? Intake - is there one? Chip? Does exhaust do anything or is it just for sound?

Also, what wheel is this (all i know is that they are 19s - thats all i know)

Mercedes
That wheel looks like a Brabus Monoblock VI knockoff. You can find them on ebay.

How is the quality of this wheel? WIll it bend easily? Also right now I have the stock 17"s is there any rubbing or handling issues with 19"s?

Edit: Looked on ebay and can't find anything

type in "brabus" or "monoblock" and you'll find both genuine and fakes. The fakes will be termed "Brabus style" or Brabus replica." The quality depends on the manufacturer. They will be heavy though, hurting performance a little. You can go up to a 9.5" wide in the rear with 265 tires and won't experience rubbing.

My budget on performance type mods would be 2-3k

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/18-ME...36268423QQrdZ1

I found them on ebay. They would be 18x8 all the way around? The seller says it will fit all (obviously meaning by 2003 CLK-500) but can anyone verify 18x8 fitment? Also, would I want +20mm or +38mm? And what does that mean - +**mm?

That's a Remus exhaust? Why is it under $300 ? Then I see the Lorinser exhaust its $1800... is this for real? By adding that Remus exhaust, how is the sound? and is there any real performance upgrade?

I am searching around... my thought is that is just the muffler (adds sound only) but for $300 why not

yeah how much did you pay for the Eisenmann Exhaust? Exhausts on V8s aren't really put on for performance - so mainly for sound. The remus gives just a depper tone.. Im goin to email the guy and find out about it for $265

Those are BRABUS replica wheels, and based on eyball probably 8.5 / 9.5 width combo (thats the popular widths).

Not sure about the roads in your area but they would bend faster than a comparitive wheel that was forged. ZONE, iFORGED, AUTO-COUTURE, etc are good forged wheels lightweight and strong.

As for exhaust EISENMANN is a great option.

If you need further assistance, send a email

the eisanmann race exhaust is considerably more it was like 1300 but well worth it, in reguards to hp gain there is a 6.1 - 6.4 % increase, its not much but still a great exhaust in my opinion

They don't have intakes, but replacement airfilters. Go with Greenfilters if you are going to replace the stock filters.
