12.8 MEGAPIXLES?????????? Outta curiousity, are you ever going to use that? Lol. I mean, our computer monitors can only display a certain amount, and unless you have an insane printer, you can't even print that quality. Just curious...

The impact of the file of the amount of megapixles that a digital camera can take has an impact on the printing of the picutre. The impact is related to how big you want to print the picture.

True, but that's akin to saying that any car with more than 80hp is useless, because that's (I just pulled that number out of my head, it might be lower, but probably not higher) roughly the horsepower you need to go the speed limit.

12.8MP is pointless unless your making a billboard or something of that sort. You can't view 12,800,000 pixels on your computer screen. It's completely different than your little car scenario because a car with more than 80HP will benefit to the point where obtaining the speed limit comes easier, going up a hill is easier, etc. Now, since you're computer screen cannot display 12.8MP, there is no way to benefit, unless you have a super printer or are in the ad business or whatnot. Which is why I asked the original question, Ricky.

Stop clowning my 80hp BMW 
But yeah, you can make the argument that mp isn't needed, but the better quality camera will most likely come with better quality parts to take better pictures.
I doubt you'll find a 3mp camera that can take pictures as sharp as Frisco's camera.
But yeah, you can make the argument that mp isn't needed, but the better quality camera will most likely come with better quality parts to take better pictures.

03 CLK500, 04 X3, No 07 GT3RS :(
I have the older Canon 10D as well, which has 6 or 7 Mpixels as it is and didn't actually buy this so that I could make larger prints. The camera has a ton of great features and is a major step up over my old camera body in a number of way. The full frame sensor by itself was worth it and I have no complaints.
