Do you have a CD changer in your car. If you go to mp3yourcar.com you can find a hookup that takes the place of your CD changer. It lets you use the steering wheel controls. But you lose the CD changer.
Other option is do you have command? Does it have an AUX input. If it does then you can run the iPod through that with a cable you can get from the dealership...I believe.

there are a couple of avenues to make this work
here are a few options
option 1, if you have a navi you have an aux input standard from the factory
option 2, install an FM Modulator (inexpensive)
option 3, buy a full fledged ipod integration kit (expensive)

easy!
simply open the glovebox and near the 6 disc changer on the right side you will see a small hole.
simply head to radio shack and pick up a mini to mini cable (looks like two headphone jacks) for about 5 bucks and plug it in there and the other side into the ipod
use your command to get to the aux function and there you go!

I have a 2003 CLK430 cab, with 6 CD in trunk and NAV, where can I find my aux hookup for my IPOD mini and is that what you recommend ? What controls in COMAND system would let me control IPOD ?

Here's a question assuming the AUX hole is there in trunk CD, I would basically have to leave the ipod laying in the trunk ? How does AUX input get turned on to use the IPOD through the COMAND?

It's easy to find the small hole on the right side of the glovebox that accepts the mini-jack cable for the IPOD. It's silver-colored. But I can't find any way to select AUX on the COMAND in my 2004 CLK320 Cabriolet. There is no Aux button on the COMAND (only SAT, AM/FM, NAV, etc.) and there doesn't seem to be any menu choice on the screen. How do I select AUX? Thanks.
