2004 CLK 500 vs 2006 Infinity G35???
Can you give me advice? Here's my dilemma...
Was planning on buying a G35 when I decided to check out a pre-owned, certified Mercedes. Dealer had a black 2004 CLK500 with only 9000 miles for the same price as the 2006 G35 (Around $38,000). The Mercedes is really a smoking deal...almost too good to be true.
The CLK500 is certified and under waranty for 2 more years so it's REALLY tempting! My concern:
What's your advice?
Thanx!

- killer MPG (15/18)
- all the electrical problems I hear it has with the gagets
- high cost of maintenance/repairs
What's your advice?
Thanx!

thats pretty easy answer. go for the clk500. its classier, its faster, looks better, its a mercedes! after couple of years you can probably sell the clk for 30k.
no brainer go for the w209er.

My best friend has the G35 Coupe, but as he loves it he tells me he would rather have my 500. Also, the 209 chassis isnt plauged w/ all of the electrical problems that many of the others are (211).

You are getting a MUCH better car for the same money! Most of the little nagging things that go wrong with a benz (sensors, window regulators) are not that much to fix if you are even a little bit handy, and it's covered for 2 years as well. Unfortuantely the coupe version of the clk was never a big seller, and you can expect it to depreciate a lot more rapidly than the g35.
For the money, however, the clk is clearly the better choice (faster too).
