I went to my dealership today and saw a ncie Pewter CLK320 on the showroom floor. I thought it was very nice - as nice as Silver.
Which color do you guys prefer - Silver or Pewter?

An E Class 320 Elegance pewter is on order (I love this color now) but I can't decide on the interior.
Which would you go for out of the grey or the beige leather?
I don't want charcoal as it's too dark for me and too hot during the hot summers here, plus with the walnut trim, I am looking for a more elegant rather than sporty look.

MBWorld Fanatic!
just to be sure, i want to confirm that when you say gray=ash, and beige=oyster?
personally, i'd get the 2 tone charcoal/blue. but of ash/oyster, i'd go w/ oyster which to me, is more elegant. ash is more conventional.

Petwer is a little more mature and taste.
Silver is abused on many other cars, but it looks aggressive on a sporty model.

Mine is going to be Pewter with Charcoal leather. I like the pewter cuz it is new, different and quite unique. Few automakers have anything close. Everyone has silver (though none as good as Mercs Brilliant Silver).
I saw an 03 CLK Cab in pewter -- it really looked nice.

I'd definitely have to agree that Pewter is a little more 'mature' looking. The Silver definitely looks sportier, though. Does it say something that the guy who originally ordered the car that I'll be driving *THIS WEEK* gave up Silver and decided to wait a few more months for Pewter? Oh well.. they're both nice, and I think Silver looked a little more youthful.

And YES, I am psyched. I went to my salesman this weekend, and he told me it may not be Monday, but it will be (early) this week. The suspense is killing me!

No problem. I just hate being called "liquid" because the "lik" part of "likuid" is from my last name (Shalik). So that's the "likuid" part.. M is from my first name (Mike), and 5 is my birthdate (June 5th) and college graduation year (2005). Hence, likuidM5. I'm gonna get a vanity plate on my CLK (on the back, no plate in front!) that says "LIKUIDM5"

I think both colours are very nice.
I think silver might suit you if you are between 18-24 .. It looks sporty n young. To me, pewter is more mature colour. That's just the way i @@ at it.

When I had a Pewter color 1999 C5 Corvette and people would give me a dumbfounded look when I mentioned the color I just told them it looks like dirty-silver.
Pewter hides the dirt the best. Especially when at Georgia's Road Altanta raceway for the ALMS series to watch the Viper beat up on the Vette back in 2000. The red clay/dust from the terrior coated everyones car. Even the Millenium Yellow C5 looked filthy. Until you took your finger over the pewter color it looked clean compared to the other colors.
