Lease turn in fee

Someone i know recently leased a benz and they said there is a turn in fee at the end of the lease of 595. with tax comes to 635. They said if you get another benz they wave it. In addition they said it used to be $350 but they never waved it even if you got into a new benz. So theu raised it to $595, but they wave it if you lease a new benz at the end of the term??????

Is this true....

Its true...I just picked up my CLK 550 this weekend and they hit me with the $595.00 fee. The finance manager claims the fee is to help absorb the auction fee when you return the vehicle. Probably BS, but there was no way I was getting the fee waived. So it looks like unless I get into another Mercedes at lease end, I will be paying the fee.

Yep... aquisition fee. I don't think it's "mandatory." I'm sure there are plenty of ways around this as I paid for my lease in full and they "decided" to leave this out of my one big payment

If I get another Benz at the end of this one from the same dealer, you can bet every dollar I have that I will be fighting for the waiver of this fee!!!

They may waive the fee but those tricky *******s will work it into the price somehow. They're pretty good at that crap. I hope mine sonly $350 . . .

In the market
so....what do they do if you bring back the car, hand over the keys, and leave...without paying the fee? do they make you take the car back?!

"Sorry sir, even though it is the end of your lease, you can't return it unless you pay a fee."

It's in the contract when you sign for the lease. So they'll either make you pay it on the spot or they'll send you a bill. Either way, you signed for it when you picked up the car.

I agree I mean its kind of obvious. I mean they are gonna send you a bill eventually. Its like a doctors visit you can leave without paying the bill but bet your *** they are gonna send you an invoice and if you don"t want to pay fine don"t pay just deal with it on your credit report for 7 years.

can i ask when you paid the "one big payment?"
we have 6 months left on our lease w/ MB...and i recall the acquisition fee - it may even be as much as $795.
did you call MB and how many months left on your lease when you did the one pymt? we're not interested in buying my wife's wagon when the lease is done.
thx.

My lease was one big payment from the beginning, March 10th to be exact. In fact, my first bill said $0.00 out of $0.00 is due now. Then I never got another one!

It's called a One Pay Lease.
