WHAT I DID :

alright... so i put LED wedge bulb (PIAA 12V #19263) for my sidemarker bulb with a resistor (5W 100ohm)... everything seems to work fine... no error is showing... and the LED is VERY bright....

PROBLEM:

the resistor is BURNING HOT... i want to no if i put the right resistor for the LED... becuase the resistor look like its gonna start a fire ne sec....

i believe u need resistor for all the LEDs u put... becoz the bulb will only be blinking every 5 sec without 1... and there would be an error msg... that i'm pretty sure... but i've only done LEDs for the parking light and sidemarkers...

one thing i am still not sure about is... what kind of resistor to put in... i've got a 5w 100ohm resistor with the LEDs... working fine... with the exception of... the resistor is boiling hot... (kinda scary)

I usually get 6 ohm 50 watt load resistors when converting to LED bulbs. I just installed them on my CLK parking lights (194 bulb in the high beam housing) . THey look great. Of course the load resistors are going to run hot, which is why you should mount them to a metal surface to help dissipate the heat. I used metal foil tape from Lowes to mount the resistors to the metal bracing. Also, go to Walmart and buy some extra wire so you can mount them wherever you want. You also have to drill 2 small holes though the plastic cover on the back of the high beam housing for the wires to go through for the resistors. Use the wire taps to connect the resistors. It took about 30 minutes total.

The dome/interior lights probably would not need the resistors so it would be a direct swap. I have a tan interior so I probably would not want to change out the interior lights but if I had grey or black I would consider it. Well, I'll give it a try just to see how it would look.

The exterior conversion is worth it though, I hated the yellow parking lights of the regular bulbs.

LED's are alwayz better, i wanted led parking lights and turn signal lights, but so much work! haha

It really isn't that much work at all. Once you have all the peices, it's just 30-40 minutes of your time for the whole project and once you do one you can use the same procedure for all your conversions. You just have to be willing to learn how to do it. The most difficult part is crimping the wire taps with a set of pliers. Everything else was very straight forward. If you really want to do it I can take some pics for you.
