Tail lights and Radio

Help. . . please! I replaced the tail light on my CLK 500. However, I still get the malfunction message that the light is out and substitute lamp is on. What do I need to do to clear this message? I know the tail lamp is working.
Thanks for your help.

On top of that my radio started to crackle and then the sound just went out. The radio display is still on. There is just no sound. Is there a fuse on the amp? Has this happened to any of you?

Well i got the radio working luckily. The plastic rivet in the weather stripped trunk liner right above the amp was loose so water dripped on my amp. GRRR! I got to it in time, removed it, hit it with a blow dryer and sealed the hole and now it works.

Still have the tail light problem. I replaced the one that was out but it still says substitute lamp on and a tail light is out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No just standard lights. Weird thing is that it stopped saying malfunction today and i did nothing different? I will see if it comes back on tomorrow.

lol u might of just had a loose wire, did you try all the connections?

where in cleveland are you in, suburbs?

It has been cold out so I only replaced the lights. It is supposed to be about 60 here tomorrow so I plan on checking out that and my rear suspension. I am in North Olmsted.

Cool lakewood is close. My buddy owns a bar in lakewood. Don't waste your money at the benz dealer. Go to mercedespartssuperstore.com they have almost everything for about 50% less than the dealer.

Just checked, they dont have what I need lol.

I need the whole license plate light assembly for my car because I cant just buy the lense covers by them selfs.

Yeah that sucks. They have almost everything for my car. I can even order the unibody shell.

i keep getting malfunction warning about my tail light even after i replaced it and now my radio has gone out too

replace the bulbs on both sides this just happened to me (tail light left.....tail light left back-up light on) replaced the lights on both side and no more messages

the sound out of my speakers stopped also, the radio is on but no sound, when i hit cd and says no cd changer

Same thing here with tail lights and radio

Resolution for lights, changed all bulbs.
As for the radio, it just came back the next day on it's own.

just got this right rear tail light and back up light out, but it seems to be working. do i have to take the whole tail out to check the bulb? connection?
