If you are already looking to upgrade your engine, I wouldn't start with the 320 and I wouldn't send your car to Lorinser. If you are looking to upgrade your car with a body kit, the Lorinser kits are real nice but not cheap.

I'm not telling you not to upgrade your engine. I'm just saying that if you don't have your car yet, and are already looking to upgrade your egnine, perhaps you should cancel your order and start with a V-8. If you want to stick with the V6, IMO the best engine upgrade for your car is a Kleemann supercharger. I like Lorinser bodykits so I say go for it on the kit.... keep in mind that most cars you see with Lorinser badges don't have any Lorinser work under the hood.

I'm not sure about pricing on the W209 Lorinser bodykits, however the full DTM Lorinser kit for the W208 (including fenders) will run you well over $7,000 just for the parts.

I already ordered my car 3 months ago and its too late to cancel my v6 engine

So tell me more about the kleemann supercharger.. will the upgrade effect my engine?? and will it be a V8??

So how about a kleemann supercharger with a lorinser body kit??

Kleemann SC with the Lorinser kit would be real nice. you wouldn't end up with a V8, however your car would push out about 50% more hp and torque. Go to Evosport.com and you can check out both products.

i think u should cancel and wait man....
its worth it...me myself wait for my 320 for 6 months...u can do it too

if u upgraed ur 320 engine...u will void the warranty...
its better if u buy a 500...u will get a faster car (same performance as modified 320) and comes with the warranty...

i suppose superchraged engine doesnt last long?

Cool

First, congrats to your CLK w/Lorinser kits, unique !

Yes, Kleemann V6 kompressor is a nice upgrade, my friend has
just done this to his W209/CLK320......highly satisfied.
I'm not sure how much power you want ? so CLK32K should be
ok, ppl buying 3.2 V6 reflects the need.
That's also true, CLK500 matches CLK32K in performance
but better in high speed, suspension & brake......
price talks.

2003 CLK 320
I thought the CLK32K should have close to 325 HP which would be about 25 more than the 500. I realize that you can't really compare HP between a supercharged car and a naturally aspirated but do you know for sure, it would be slower?

KLEEMANN CLK32K- 330 HP, 308 lbs/ft of torque.
Stock CLK500- 302 HP, 339 lbs/ft of torque. (U.S. Spec)

A stock CLK500 has more torque, but less HP. The CLK320 also has a shorter axle ratio in it. The CLK32K will easily match the performance of a CLK500. No tests have been done to confirm this however.

What you need to do is just order a CLK500, put a KLEEMANN kompressor on it and be done with it. 500+ HP of tire shredding fun!

CLK32K, the S/C for V6 is about $9400 here, including all.
plus the suspension, brake upgrade to match the power, another 6k by
(1) Brembo F40 or equivalent
(C32AMG brake kits is cost friendly my $.02 )
(2) any 18" rims & tires
(3) any brands of shocks & springs to lower the car

Body kits of Lorinser ? I've no idea, but take a look at its fancy design all around, should cost more than AMG,Brabus, Carlsson....I guess.

I doubt anyone of those owners has ever lose before

The final ratio of V8 helps it in high speed accel. while S/Ced V6 seems decayed when compared with a 5.0 V8(NA) over 130 mph.
They're very close each other, CLK500 vs C320K, the heavier CLK320K can't be better.
Once a CLK500 meets the C32AMG, be killed at once !

2003 CLK 500
Hey Shine -

First, could you point me to pics of your car....

I want to purchase the Kleeman SC but am worried about the installation here in Orlando, FL. How does this affect the warranty; more importantly, how much did you pay for it?

I also want to change the stock stero in my CLK 500. I hate it. My sister just got a 325i BMW (I tried to get her into a c230 !) and her stock radio rocks. The mercedes radio and speakers are weak; is there any online documentation on removing the dash so I could take a look to see what I could do? I want to leave the stock HC as is (not to kill the concierge service) and want to put a Pioneer DVD in the second DIN. Ideas anyone?

Why would you possibly not get the CLK 500, than spend all that money on upgrading a CLK 320? What about Mercedes warranty problems? It will also be far less liquid a car to sell when the time comes around.

Just wait until you sell it, which car will cost many, many thousands more?

Old Detroit saying: "There is no replacement for displacement".
