2004/2005 CLK500 Purchase

Hello everybody I need some feedback on the reliability of a 2004 and 2005 CLK500. I am considering buying either a 2004 or 2005 CLK500 with no more than 40K miles but have read on some forums that they have a lot electrical problems. What kind of problems can i expect with a 04 or 05 CLK500 ?

Thanks

I would def. go for it. I have had some minor problems with the srs, but the car is really amazing.

How is the maintanence on the car ? Does one need to employ a good mechanic or can some of the work be done on your own ?

How would you compare the car against a 2005 BMW 330ci ?

You can certainly do your own engine oil & filter changes. Plus inspect the brake pads & rotors with the wheels removed. Spark plugs are good for 100K miles. Not much else to examine.
