Ipod hookup
I recently got an Ipod Touch. I want to hook this up to my stock sound system in my car. I have the tape deck ipod hookup, but in order to play the tape the little hinge door needs to be closed. Because there is a wire, the hinge door cannot be closed. What is the easiest way too hook up an ipod to the stock radio and sound system? Thanks

Purchase the Mercedes Benz I Pod kit...
Then It will charge the Ipod and you can use the Multifunction Steering Wheel Controls....Also it will show up in the Instrument cluster

I am not sure if 2003 model can install the Ipod kit. you may need to ask the experts in this forum, and it's very expensive.
You may need to check whether you can setup the AUX input. I think that is the best solution.
If not, looks like you have to use the FM transmitter.

If you are sitting in the passenger seat, it's on the right side of the glove box towards the front. You'll see a small hole surrounded by metal -- you can't miss it if it's there.
Once you plug your cable into the jack, press the "radio" button on your COMMAND system, and then press the "AUX" button. After that, you're in business.
