I'm trying to fit the new carbon kevlar tubes into the C55, I did a test, and fit the C350 tubes on my C320, and it made a huge difference after the engine gets hot. Because once the engine gets hot, the tubes get hot, and the air that come in gets warm instead of being cold.
Since the C55 tubes are "curved" in a way, those carbon kevlar tubes wont work, unless its the stock CLK350 or CLK550 tubes.
anyone with a CLK350 or 550 can chime in, take a picture of your engine bay with the tubes??

those carbon kevlar tubes are better than the stock plastic ones. I've been there.
I just need someone with a CLK350/550 to take a picture of the engine bay and the tube shape.

it might/might not fit, thats why I want to do a test first.
the tubes on the 500 is pretty much the same as the 55 ones, well, close enough, everything pretty much falls within the same areas, so fitment is probably possible.

if you want the E55k setup, you'll need...
1. R+L Air Cleaner (airboxes)
2. Y-Section+tubes+bracket
3. Airbox brakets
4. Filter assembly
(I think you might be able to use the stock tubes, or the kevlar tubes).
The whole set-up runs for about $300 ish dollars +/-
As for the Y section modification, you'll need to "cut off" this tab that prevents the Y section to sit on your MAF (its straight forward, you'll know wth i'm talking about once you have the Y-section). Then you'll need a silicone coupler and brackets to "tie" the Y section onto your MAF.
