clk350 vs 330i vs 330ci

I am looking to purchase either of these 3 cars
330ci - 2003 or 2005
330i e92 - 2006
clk350 -2006
all coupes
and on the 330ci i am looking for a 6 speed
My question here is which is the fastest in a straight line ? and which is the most reliable of the 3 cars?
Any help will be greatly appriciated

i dont know about others but clk is a very reliable car. I dont know if the clk350 is faster than those cars but why dont you get a clk500? iit can probably take all of those cars.

clk500 prizes went up ....
i cant find a used 05 clk500 that is cheaper then 20G
Also its a v8..... to be honest that was my first choise but the mpg will kill me. I have a heavy foot especialy on the freeway.
I read that going fast with the 500 will get me like 13 city and around 19 highway....
which i cannot afford in the long term lol.
I am looking for like 16 city and 20 highway and like 18 combined.
Which i think the clk350 will give me even if i floor it all the time.
what you think am i correct?

CLK 500 & E55 AMG
Well the 330's will be faster than a CLK350. As far as reliability I think the MB is better I had a 2001 325i and the electrical system in it has given me more problems then I could ever imagine. I now have a CLK 500 conv. and average 18 mpg I live in a very hilly area and drive it hard so I think that you would be able to afford the fuel. Also the 500 will be the fastest.

09 CLK 550
I have a clk550 and I'm getting 18-19 mpg all city driving with a heavy foot! It's the same mpg that I got in my old '03 BMW 330ci. The BMW 330ci was a great car that I never had any issues with, but it's not even in the same league as the clk550! I do like the traction control of the BMW better than MB. It's more geared towards racing than the MB.

2006 CLK350
I own both a 330ci and a 350.
Both of them are great cars.
IMO the 350 will give you that bit of penache that the 330ci doesn't quite have.
however, the handling in the 330ci is far better than the 350 (which gives you a softer but more comfortable ride.)
if you're looking for straight line advantage, they both feel about equal, can't tell now that the 330 is dinan tuned and the benz is stock.
eigther way you go it sounds like a good dilemma to be in.

mpg wise you'll get more out of your benz than the 330 for some reason.

p.s. -
I haven't had any problems with the bimmer, ever.
I have had to repair a few minor things on the benz:
-sunroof off track, leather on steering wheel seems more sensitive to wear and tear.

hope this helps!

Hey thanks for the help....
that helps alot with my choice,
I have a question for you though, you said you had to repair minor stuff on the benzo. What were they ?
And is your 330 stick or auto ?

i used to have a 325ci now i have a clk500,

btw there is no e92 330i they started making e92s in 07 and are only in 335i and 328i
all 330i's were offered in the sedan form (e90) only

so with that said basically your first and second choice are the same thing
330ci

so now that it's down to 330ci vs clk350, i'd take the clk350 in terms of looks but if you're concerned about fun and handling etc.. get the 330ci, e46s are great cars

btw if you're concerned about speed and stuff, get the 330ci zhip, comes with an upgraded 330ci engine, mtech 2 front body kit and mtech2 rear, and some other fancy stuff

335i is faster stock, and every other 335i out there has the vishnu chip now which will rape the clk500 easy

04 CLK500
I test drove both CLK350 and CLK500 before I bought mine, the difference is so obvious that the CLK350 cannot hang with the 330i or 335i.

I had a chance to race with my friend's 2008 335i with my 2004 CLK500 from a stand, both stock, I was about 1.5 car length infront of him when we hit 100mph.

MPG has been good to me since I normally drive "nice", a full tank last 300-330 miles. Up to 24mpg on freeway, 20mpg city.

wow well i have been getting stories like 335i putting alteast 2 car lenghts on a clk500 which i wouldnt be suprise, but on the other hand i have heard and read LOTS of stories that the clk500 leads untill like 100mph or so....
I dunno i guess i have to see it for my eyes .
Anyways i like the clk styling better then a 335. and thanks for the info: )
you are getting some dawm good milage in your clk man good job

Supercharged CLK500 & ML500
I like the exterior styling of the 335 too (my friend has a 335 too), then you get inside and the interior quality is not as good as the CLK 500. The ladies always notice how "really nice" the interior is on my CLK 500.

yeah that is sooo true about all mercedes.
Bmw has that sporty looks always but the interiors are not as nice as mercedes are for sure.

But now i read about 7 speed tranny issues with the first year model.
