Can't seem to find replacement tires for my 2007 CLK350.

Just Tires suggested that I use the Michelin Primacy MO 225/45R17 front and 245/40R17 which are correct, however, the tires have different tire thread patterns (front and rear are different)?

Aren't they supposed to have the same thread pattern?

Help please.

Other brand(s) suggestions are welcome.

Thanks,

mP

I am also using the Sumitomo HTRZ III tires and they work out fine. Going around corners fast they go into a slide more smoothly than the original Continentals.

Sumitomo tires seem to be pretty car sensitive. They are great on some cars and not so good on others. I used to run them on an Acura NSX and they were great. If people like them on the CLK they will probably work well there as well. If you get negative feedback, watch out.

They have one big advantage, superb performance for the buck.

I've had good experience with BFGoodrich T/A KDW2: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....=(Y)&minLoad=S I had these on my Honda Prelude and they handled good in dry and wet conditions. Price isn't that bad either.

Thanks guy, I changed all my tires to Michelin® Pilot® Sport A/S Plus at Costco for $950 3 months. I think I will try the Sumitomo next time.
