spark plugs...
is there a spark plug diy thread? looking to change plugs on 04 clk 500, not sure if theres anything out of the ordinary needed.
found this in the archives:
https://mbworld.org/forums/clk-class...placement.html
but looking for something a bit more detailed.
resetting service indicator:
'go to the screen with the mileage. scroll with the arrows til you get to the service screen. hold down the r button on the cluster'

Check this post out. It is not for the CLK but basically the same concept.

It would be smart if you do the hardest one first. If you can't do it then might as well pay to do the whole thing. On Mercedes, plug socket is the least of your concern. Remove the plug wire from the spark plug is pain in the *** if you don't know the trick.

The trick is to get a 17mm wrench and use the open end side to help pry off the plug wire. On some of the plugs, you can use the bolts that holds the valve cover on as a leverage point and pry the plugs off. On the other plugs, use the open end and with two hands, pull straight back. It is easier to remove the coil so you can get full access to the plugs. Getting the plugs wires off is not as bad as trying to get them back on. You have to press the plugs wires on until it clicks and with the metal boots, they are a b***h to get on. It takes patients and a lot of elbow grease. The torque requirements are 8 Nm for the coil bolts and 28 Nm for the plugs themselves on the M113 motor. Also apply a little bit of anti-seize lubricant on the spark plug threads.
