Seat belt presenter broke

I think it's only on cabs, but not sure. Any idea why it stopped spontaneously? Any chance it's a fuse?
I've got the same problem as well. I read in the SEC forum that you can pull the CB that belongs to this system (also called Seat Belt Extenders) and leave it out for about 30 seconds so that the system resets and then put it back in.
I'm going to try it this week when I have the time; let me know if this works for you.
Anyone else out there with an answer?

The passenger side comes out, the drivers side does not.
I don't hear any whirring noises or anything, so that motor is not trying to send them out.

Well, turns out just wiggle it back in there and find its home, slowly push back in.
But it didn't fix it. Still doesn't want to come out.
When I first got my CLK55 last year, it was doing the same thing and I took it to the stealership to get fixed. The remedy on the work order was "reset seat belt presenter". There has to be a fuse, sequence or some way of reseting the system right in your garage.
Amy help out there?

So the price starts at a $100 diagnostic fee.

For three or five times, I couldn't buckle up. Replacement will cost $850CDN for parts plus labour.

I found it pretty amazing how the seat belt doesn't work after 47,000km... Whereas, my M3 still works fine after 94,000km.
I heard rumors that there's safety warranty for seat belts and airbags for 10 years??? Since I lost the Sclass book, I am currently trying to find out.
Can anyone varify this?
Thanks

There is your belt presenter. Take it out, see if it works when you apply 12V. Here is a link to what I did. At the bottom of the 1st post is the links to the WIS documents which show how to take it apart.

I would rather have the occasional problem in an older awsome car than buy a crappy new one I could afford that provides no driving pleasure.
EDIT: I meant gaps in the place where the brushes rub on the motor, not the windings. Stuff from the brushes fill those gaps as they wear.

Thanks!! I'll have to try it when I have some free time. Thanks tw2 for the info to open it up.
